Fine for pizza, don't know about grating as I tend to slice and scatter.
I just went to the village co-op to get cash (midlands co-op) and the frozen turkeys are very reduced. £6 for a 7kg whole frozen turkey. Shelf label rather than a reduced sticker. I resisted as I have a very full freezer but worth a look for others. Part of me is itching to go back and get one as I love turkey but we don't need it 'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Another NSD grocery challenge wise, although treated myself and kids to a posh coffee in town (from another budget) as had to go and return a present that didn't fit (had gift receipt). Today I have made a huge Bolognese sauce in my slow cooker for meals during week (lasagne and spag bol) and for freezer plus a huge pan of soup for 5 lunches to take to work.0

Ive just done a cook off for the start of my working week, Spaghetti Bolognese, gammon Joint that will be sliced up and frozen for later in the month, tomato soup, a quiche and chilli thats bubbling away in the sc.
I went to the shops for the first time since Christmas and spent £15,65 in Heron Foods, 16.41 in Mr T, 15.95 H&B. Got tons and just what we needed. I held a wheel of Stilton in my hand that was reduced from £6.00 to £1.30 but put it back!!!!!
I didnt need it for my fridge or my waistline! Im getting much better at being sensible and not buying things for the sake of it!

Took my daughter with me to have a ms meal and next door was a big 99p Store. After telling me to get 'healthy' snacks in my main shop yesterday, she decided that actually chocolate was needed. . .spent £11.88 on chocolate, other snacks and toiletries.
Bought packs of Twix, Maltesers and Minstrels, as well as Tresemme hair spray, Always, cotton wool pads for make up removal and some cereal bars, Dove soap and Herbal Essences hair mask (whatever that is) I wasn't convinced everything was loads cheaper than it would have been making the most of sm offers, but I know some of it was. We were laughing as my idea of a fun afternoon out for us was a mystery shop followed by a trip to the 99p Store, on the way back to the car I was saying: "Now look down in case anyone has dropped any money!"
Oh well, I suppose it all helps pass on a um responsible attitude!
Eta: had a look online and the masks are £2.19 in Tesco, the hairspray is at least £1.99 and Always also dearer, no saving on the soap. The cereal bars are cheaper and the chocolate is about the same, if on offer.0 -

A NSD on the grocery front today
. I was pleased with myself as well as I took one of the mini debtdawgs to soft play to get him out of the house for a hour (the other two are away this weekend) and managed to avoid buying an overpriced tea/coffee/cake/snack. And soft play was free as well as I had a bassetts vitamins voucher, so that saved me £4.95 on entry.
I'm shining my mse halo today0 -

HM Pizza made today - and HM jam. Although not together (although there is still some left.....hmmm). x
Went to W**ko's to get ink for printer and was tempted by some starbursts (or opal fruits) exchanged them for some refresher chews as they were half the price. Then went back again and just put them back remembering a) we've got stacks of sweets at home and b) I'm fat. Luckily I remembered! Phew.0
