Was going to go to Iceland to use the £5 voucher but decided I don't need £25 worth of shopping. Still have loads left from last year to use up.Slimming World at target0

Hi all,
Reporting a £3.99 spend in Ts on cream, mushrooms and malted wheats. We ran out of cereal this morning, so a necessary spend. The cream and mushrooms will be for dinner on Friday night (with pork chops mmmmm).
I have £12.54 left in the budget for January. The fridge looks really bare, in fact all the food could probably fit on one shelf but I have spread it about to look better :rotfl:
Out for dinner tonight - all you can eat Chinese - for DS2s birthday - different budget. Tomorrow we will have sausages and mash.

NSD for us yesterday. OH bought a mocha while at work but I think I'm going to have to start not including these in our GC budget because I can't really stop him from having hot drinks on his long shifts at work.
Made a loaf this AM to keep us going for sandwiches. Not sure if OH will be home for dinner tonight but he is hoping to be. Will do pasta I think with passata, onions, veg and chorizo. We are hoping he will be working earlier shifts regularly soon, as it's much easier to plan meals for the week that way.
Should be an NSD again today, we certainly need it to be! Bring on Friday! Hope everyone's okThank you to everyone who posts on here0 -
Last January grocery shop done today in Ald! at £12.83, bringing the total to and declaring at £91.17.
The freezer has good stocks from batch cooking, though the cupboard still looks bare, as only buying what we need and the weekly shop day has moved from a Thursday to a Wednesday to avoid buying expensive milk at the corner shop.
Meal plans have been working well and learning more about using LOs. I think our budget of £20 a week is about right for us - 1 adult, 1 teenage DS (who eats like an adult) and 2 medium dogs.
Thanks too for the dog biscuit recipes that are posted up - have made those, the dogs love them, so no need to buy those anymoreBack on the DFW Wagon:

£10.85 spent in L*dl, three tins of tuna bought, tie handle bin liners ( i think), sandwich bags, and wraps. Bagels, hot cross buns and a raisin mix went in too.
Going to try for no more spends now til Friday which will be ice cream (i know it's freezing, but my girls insist on having it on a Friday), then milk on Saturday, and possibly a few treats.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Been to mr.t's and bought cheese, bread, cabbage, custard tarts, single cream and yogurt for £5.64 and sausage from local butcher for £2. Very pleased
I also left a meat order for the freezer, I've virtually run out now, I'm hoping it's ready before Friday and then I can just squeak it in for my January budget!
Toast for breakfast, cheese and crackers for me/beans on toast for hubby at dinner. Cheese on toast for me/ sausages, chips and beans for hubby for tea.
I'm not eating very well at the moment as I'm still recovering from chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other treatments and haven't got my taste back properly yet. I tend to eat what I fancy which can often be different to what I feed hubby. He works physically hard so I can't expect him to manage on a few cheese and crackers lol
Doing this challenge is really helping me to focus on life again and forget about the last couple of years...so Thankyou everyone for posting and all the pics etc.A family that eats together, stays together
