Wow Kayester you must be exhausted! Well done on your decluttering mission! I too have gone through DDs wardrobe this weekend and passed down (to niece) and charity shopped around half her wardrobe! Feels so good to open her wardrobe and know things actually fit her
Went to C**p at school pick up time but still no lamb:( Will keep trying. Small spend of £2.50 on cheddar.
Dinner tonight was meatballs, spaghetti and hm tomato sauce. I always used to buy fresh tomato sauce but have been making my own lately - passata, chopped onion, salt, pepper and a little sugar. Delish and a really quick meal, good for club night!
Off to update sig.

£2.09 spend in Morris*ns today and online shopping due tomorrow of about £60; which will still leave me enough to get spreadable butter and tuna in L*DL on Wednesday, and still be quite a bit under budget. Only took me eight months

I'm declaring for this month too - I will start next month on Thursday, rather than Friday, so I can use the second Aldi £5 voucher (two papers last week!)
I have definitely found weekly budgeting far easier for me - for the four weeks in January, with a budget of £50 per week I have spent £45.94, £47.15, £48.99 and this week a miserly £17.45 giving a grand total of £159.53 or an average of £39.88 per week! Although the first week next month will be high as I need lots of basics to stock up with, I still think I can come in on less than £50. Out of interest, I have been writing down everything I have spent this month - and that has helped to keep me in check in other areas too!
It must be Tidy Monday today, as I went through, dusted and re-organised my bookcase (3 full height Billy from IKEA) sending a pile to the charity shop and realising I have loads to read before I buy any more!
Anyway, declaring at £159.53/200 and very happy with that!:jDownshifted

I am declaring at $380 not as much saved as I would like, but I guess at least I am still under budget. Supermarket had a special offer of 35c per litre off fuel, and as we use a lot I took the opportunity to stock up. Hopefully will see the results next month0

I make a standard risotto base (olive oil and butter fry chopped onion, garlic and finely chopped celery until soft)
Add prawns and fry for a few minutes
For 2 people I use 200g of risotto or short grain rice add this and stir for a few minutes, a good glug of white wine and a splash of milk and then ladle in stock and stir every few minute so that the starch comes out and makes it creamy, then add peas to cook for the last 3 minutes. When almost ready add grated parmesan, salt and paper to taste
Yummy...... (if you have any rocket that can be added too at the end to wilt through the risotto.

A NSD today.
Finally cooked the haggis, neeps & tatties today. Wasn't to keen on the haggis to be honest but did manage to eat the small portion I had. DH enjoyed it though and says he will eat the portion that is left.MARCH £62.38/2500
