Another NSD!
Feel a lot better tonightwe had the steak pies, mash, carrots, peas and gravy for tea tonight and it was yummy.
Haven't decided what to cook tomorrow, might even be egg and chips as our hens have started to lay again, thank goodness. I do miss the nice bright yellow yolks.
I've still got a mountain of apples to peel, cook and freeze. We gave loads away but still have a lot left, and they're beginning to look a bit sorry for themselves. They should keep us going til next autumn for pies, crumbles etc. so I must get on with it.
My AF order came today, so I've packed that away. Added it onto my sig when I ordered it. They really have some bargains but I didn't get carried away!
Hope everyone's okA family that eats together, stays together

Another NSD today.
Its been hard having the grandchildren as they seem to only eat processed rubbish, which I will not buy them. So they have probably eaten more fruit and veg this week than they have all year. I know it must be hard with both parents working full time and they are tired when they get home, and with no money worries they can afford all this ready meal stuff, but I am really looking forward to leisurely quality meals with OH. Just updating wth spend of £8.52 in Mr A*di yesterday - mainly pots and veg with spready butter. Hope this will last us until next Friday - we are away this weekend so that will help as different budget.
Updated sig and if I need a few bits ( milk) next week have some cash in purse left - so looking good!!!!July 16 £95/£200

Went out for a team lunch at work today but I didn't spend anything on groceries
I've added that to my entertainment budget in my sig - at this rate I'll be able to combine the two and still come in under budget, but I'm keep to keep them separate for now so I can see how much I spend on each category.

Another NSD yesterday and also an enforced one as car is in the garage being mended - I was going to nip to w@itrose for kitty litter (I can't find the micro granular stuff anywhere else)
Dinner already made (pasta bake made yesterday just needs to go in oven with parmesan and tomato to add) and need to make some homemade garlic bread so I might get the bread maker out and make a long loaf to slice.
As not going to w@itrose I will treat myself to making a nice coffee today as I would have had a free one! lunch will be leftover homemade soup and chilli
Kids have a mixture of netball, piano and swimming after school so its a busy night! I need to keep the spend low as DH was talking about ordering a box of wine and that should come from grocery budget and I will probably visit the butcher this weekend for a nice piece of meat for Sunday lunch.
Thats me for now

My cupboards are looking a bit sparse and I need to do a big shop at the weekend, I need so many basics now.
I made a large lentil and butternut squash curry last night which normally would have lasted me several nights, but it was to share with friends this evening. I tested it, of course, and it is delicious!
It is just gone 11am and someone has eaten my sandwich already. I wonder who that was? Oh it was me!31.5/1000 -
