Starting to only buy value ranges or own brand products now. If I can't tell the difference then they stay. So far have switched to value washing powder, Deodorant, shampoo & Conditioner and cupboard basics. Haven't noticed any difference except the cost.

First trouble, I was hoping to try this but worried to downshift on detergent and hair & beauty products, I do have a quite sensitive scalp and allergies. Might buy a small box of value washing powder and see how i go.

Grocery budget is at £280.05/£400 (couldn't check earlier when i posted due to dd2 stealing my phone which has my budget on!)

They look fantastic. What was the recipe that you used for the dough as am on the look our for a good one. Last attempt was really heavy and sweet. so the recipe for that went in the bin.
I typed it up for another thread so I have just quoted it.
The wheatgerm lightens the base :)

    Hi WTBSE :)

    For the base
    375g of bread flour
125g of wheatgerm If you have no wheatgerm just use 500g of bread flour. I add the wheatgerm for health reasons.
    teaspoon of salt
    tablespoon of sugar
    a 7g sachet of yeast
2x tablespoons of oil or butter
    300ml warm water

Mix and kneed for a few minutes. Leave for 10-15 minutes then kneed again and split in to 4.

Roll out to the best shape to fit your trays :D

Par bake for 5-6 minutes, then I freeze them and top when I need a quick dinner or use as garlic breads with cheese :j

The sauce is different on each one, one is a mix of bbq sauce and tomato puree the other tomato puree and chilli sauce.
I then top with half a packet of Sainsburys 99p pepperoni or left over chicken.

These bases really are life saver to me with the hours I work. I can have a dinner made that everybody loves within 15 minutes of being home. I always have at leat 4 in the freezer :o

Any lo are lovely cold for lunch the next day as well WTBSE.
