I'm not after sympathy (makes me worse) just had a need if that makes sense. Ignore me feeling sorry for myself
Hello TIE, what a hard time this is for you. The big gap until the funeral is tough - it's hard to think about anything else, but the time spent arranging the ceremony to reflect on your Mum is really worthwhile and gives those who come to remember her some insight into aspects of her life they may not have known. It also plays a part in your coming to terms with her loss, so that you can eventually think back with joy and love and not always sadness and despair. (don't mean to be patronising, hope that's not how this is coming over)
Take care of yourself, and hold your loved ones close; they will give you the strength and grace to cope.

Not a bad day at all today
Breakfast - Melon, kiwi, fat free fromage frais.
Dinner - Cauliflower Cheese Soup (1/4 of recipe = 1/2 HEXA + 1 syn) with two slices of wholemeal bread (HEXB).
Tea is cooking now, slow cooked minced beef hash, smells amazing, syn free too
Had a couple of cups of tea to use up my HEXA and a bag of funsized maltesers before and an options for supper.0 -
TIE, some days you just need that extra bit of comfort and if a takeaway makes you feel ever so slightly less rubbish then I think it's absolutely called for.
Really hope the next few days go as well as they can for you.0 -
Dear TIE~Please don't beat yourself up.
Just go with the flow for now.

Slow cooked minced beef hash was lovely, didn't taste 'low fat' at all:
Slowcooked minced beef hash
Syns:Green: 7½ Original: 3 Extra Easy: FREE
Lowcalorie cooking spray 2 onions, peeled and finely diced 2 garlic cloves, peeledand crushed 1 tsp cumin 1 green chilli, deseeded and finely diced 450g extralean minced beef less than 5% fat, 2 carrots, peeled and diced 300g potatoes, peeled and diced 400g can plum tomatoes 100ml beef stock 1 tsp oregano 4 tbspfinely chopped flat-leaf parsley Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1.Spray a large frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and place over a mediumheat. Add the onions and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
2.Add the garlic, cumin and green chilli, stirring for a few moments to releasethe flavours.
3.Add the minced beef and cook on high, stirring all the time and breaking up anylumps, until all the meat is sealed and brown. put in slow cooker
4.Add the carrot, potatoes, tomatoes, stock and oregano to the slow cooker cook 6 to 8 hrs approx onlow then turn to high 1/2 hour to hour before serving and remove lid to thickenif necessary
5. stir in the parsley and season to tastebefore serving.
To be on the safe side, I put a red pepper, a green pepper, some mushrooms and some green beans in and just doubled up on the stock and served with broccoli. As I'd added extra ingredients, I also used chopped tomatoes instead of plum to space them out a bit.
Definitely recommend this one!0 -

I had a similar last night, if you consider it spaced out over 7 days, it's not too bad so make sure you under-syn those?
These things happen to everyone, try not to feel too bad and best foot forward from now on.0 -

I would post a list of superspeed foods if I could use this new computer book that my family bought me for Christmas but unlike the old one I don't know how to copy/paste etc on this (yet):o
I keep the list stuck on fridge door so I can check quickly or just to remind myself.
There is a list on minimins -- but I cant transfer it . Sorry.0
