Lantanna - well done, glad it went ok. Ive just been to aerobics and my face is still red 1 hour later.
MrsRyan - Don't envy the studying, have just finished my masters, took 3.5 years through the OU, worth it but was hard working balancing F/t and 3 kids.
Mildredd - I desperately want finger shrinkage, my wedding ring is too tight but when i lost weight previously it became loose.

Was on managers day today, was so unbelieveably boring that would have a million times preferred to be at work. Plus the room was freezing. Free dinner, was VERY controlled as usually go a little greedy at these events, I had jacket potato, beans, small bit of cheese and big salad, also had a small brown cob (were too gorgeous to resist). Pudding went badly, usually have a healthy option but didn't offer one today so I had to have a 1 large choc cookie (believe me, that was amazing control...)

Feeling a bit fed up today, suspect my weight is now about the same as last October (going on trouser fit) which makes me so cross with myself, as I should have recognised the urgency earlier but was so busy as moved areas last year and many challenges / stress. Feel like I'm now at starting point.

Congrats everyone on keeping up the fight...

Hope you enjoyed your mac cheese GFB!

Mildredd/Mrsryan - lovely careers to pursue if you do.. you must both have a lot of patience.

Well done on losses and sts - Sary & Laura :T

Welcome msgnomey, welcome, you can still have lactose free milk as a hea. I think Alpro you can have as a hea, or the book says Arla brand..

Well I've messed up on red days already for tomorrow's plan, :doh:I assumed things like bulghar wheat and quinoa were ok on a red day but they're as bad as rice for syns  so i'll have to change tomorrow to an EE as I've already made my lunch.

    So EE
B - banana, yogurt, muesli (heb)
L - bulghar wheat salad, BNS, pork, onion
T - chicken in lime/ginger/chilli sauce(1) with sweet potato, salad, and corn
S - apple, milk in tea (hea), crisps (4.5)
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • Shala - I'm a teacher now but having a break to raise the mini me but dunno mulling over a change even though teaching will fit better with my life decisions decisions
Hdk- your gym going makes me tired thinking about it!
    Good restraint on the cookies!
Shala - I don't even understand red and green so stick to ee coz I'm lazy like that :/

My plans to up my sf after dinner where rudely disturbed by my gall bladder so now I'm lacking in sfs for the day yet again :/
On a plus side my mid afternoon binge of a kitkat means I'm still within syns for the day just my sfs been ballsed up

    Must try harder :(

  • Well week 2 weigh in, and I had to say I was disappointed

    lost 1lb

I've been real good for the week, and I've had loads of veg, even did a sunday dinner s/w style with no gravy
Ate loads of fruit, with a vanilla muller light yogurt, for deserts most night.
Had 1 vodka diet coke on sat night, I've spent a fortune on good food, I've not had many syns.

I'm used to not eating breakfast and dinner and just having a tea, hubby thinks it's because I'm now eating more food that my loss is slow.

    Back to the drawing board.

Don't get down, my mum is also ding sw with me, the first week she only lost a lb then the second week she lost 1 1/2lb now into her fifth week she just lost 4 1/2lb! It will all balance itself out in the next few weeks if you are sticking to the plan mostly :) remember everyone's bodies work In a different way, as frustrating as it can be!

On a happier note I'm so happy to report I lost 2 1/2lb this week which takes me over 1/2 stone gone :D super happy!

Just a question question, does anyone else not notice difference? I mean I feel healthier and more alive, I even took the dogs out for a 2 mile walk in the gales and downpour, one of them even went home before me :rotfl but my clothes don't feel any different at all really? I'm not really bothered by it as the scales don't lie, so the weight is coming off, just curious if anyone else found this?

Good luck anyone with wi tomorrow :D

I did a course with Faustus, Heaney etc in, AA100 I think? How far into your OU journey are you?

Presumably you will have to do a level 3 lit course, if so, find out when EA300 Children's Literature finishes and try to get in before it does if you can. It's a crossover with Literature and Childhood Studies and is far less literary if you don't really enjoy lit courses and you're doing it because you HAVE to. Also, you get to study Harry Potter :)

Ohhhh I'm doing AA100! :):):) I'm er.. 11 days in now :o had a look the other day and I think I want to do Advanced Creative Writing as my option with the other mandatory module. :)

Mildredd, I'm another too lazy to explore red & green options. Sorry about your gall bladder playing up again.

    Review of Plan for Wednesday

Snacks - 1 Werthers original (1) and 2 Belvita Breakfast fruit & fibre - counting as hexb as no one contradicted me last time
    Total - 20.5 (slaps wrist!)

    Thursday's plan

Breakfast: French hexb toast & blueberries
    Lunch: scrambled eggs, banana
Dinner: golden cutlet poached in hexa milk, new potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, beetroot
    fresh pineapple & WW yogurt

  • Amber - I seem to go through phases of no difference for ages and then suddenly everything's too big? Like over night? There's no gradual clothes feeling looser? Its fits then suddenly doesn't? The only thing I could think of was I was losing the weight off like my wrists and ankles and other parts that I couldn't feel in clothes?
Well done on your weight loss!

    Tonight I'm drawing a line ....
I've added up all my stupid pointless afternoon bored binges and strangely I'm within syns for the week so far. But its left me with none for a Chinese so I'm reigning it in again and will be upping the super frees tomorrow. No point feeling guilty about what I've done its done its happened move on now.
Would rather enjoy my syns instead of a secretive little binge - the dangers of being in the house and slipping back into old habits I guess. Least I've identified what my trigger is to being a secret shoveller I guess.

    Line drawn :)

Well done on all losers this week xx and well done to anyone who has gained or not lost as much as they hoped for sticking with it xxx

Statistically my average is 2 1/2lbs a week loss

Extra easy day again (I just don't *get* the others)

Me neither. Looking back I think I've accidentally had some Green days as I only generally have smallish meat portions but I didn't realise at the time or I could have had another HEA.

Welcome.:) I don't eat yogurt (cos I don't like it) and I banned cheese from my life when I was getting to target;). By the scenic route I lost 3.5 stone in about 10 months. You could do it faster but certainly make a big dent by July.

Thanks I've got WI in the morning and hoping for STS or a would settle for a small gain as I'm maintaining.

It took an age for me to actually go out and buy a smaller dress size. My clothes did get looser (probably because I was bursting out of too small a size when I started) and then eventually it just happened! My rings have got looser too. I was delighted as I wear my grandmother's wedding ring and I'd have been so sad if I couldn't wear it.

Hope you feel more comfortable tomorrow mildredd. How long now until your scan?
