  • I read every post but going it alone with my old sw book so don't feel have anything to add to all these helpful and friendly posts.
Lost 4lbs this week, I have been very good despite some awful days at work which would usually involve wine when get home so was hoping for 2lb.
9lb total and still feeling really motivated.

sary.. you sound exactly like me! hate anyone knowing 'my business' that's why I like this little thread.. you can be anonymous and post things you wouldn't normally share in group etc.. my sister calls me anti social, she's the total opposite.. I wouldn't even be her friend if we weren't sisters :rotfl:

Lol, I wish I had put it like that!!!

Mich I am the same with my sister I hate having to tell the group how I've got on and would love the moment to pass, my sister however has no shame in rabbling on for 5 mins about how great she is. I hate the limelight and somehow wonder how we are related. Your last comment about not being her friend if you weren't sisters made me roflmao!!! So very true for me too!!!

We must all have the same sister - mine is exactly the same too - I am the quiet, reserved one and she loves everyone knowing all her business and posts anything and everything of FB

Thank you guys, you're restored my faith that I'm not a complete freak!

OH did apologise later on, and said he understood why I didn't want to be discussed with complete strangers. He is very anti-social, so has no idea how people in our town gossip. I was once approached by a complete stranger at the boys' school and asked when I'd moved in with my OH... I hadn't, but her husband had told her I had, and I'd never even met her husband. That's how much people like to gossip. Until then, I thought I was a nobody to all of them, and liked it that way.

I proved my point to him by looking the new colleague and his wife up on facebook, and told him they were connected with quite a few of our neighbours, and some more 'notorious' locals. The look on his face was priceless, and he's now very determined to not share any personal stuff in work.

He's actually very supportive of my SW journey, and never complains about any of the tweaked meals I now make. He's one of those annoying always been slim & fit people, never been overweight, so has no concept of how I feel.

Anyway, thanks again you lot, you're great, and that's why I love contributing here.

No idea about today's plan, as I'm off out with a friend (yes I do have them! ;) ) to collect her new car. Not sure who's more excited, her or me! She's mentioned going for coffee, so where that will be, and if that involves food I don't know.

    For now the plan is:

B - porridge HEB, milk HEA, apple
    L - ?
    D - NuME Cumberland sausages x 3 3 syns, mash, veggies, gravy 1.5 syns

Maybe a yogurt for a snack, if lunch is on plan.

Have a good Wednesday all. Miserable out there, so hope it brightens up later.

P.S. I'm friends on FB with Beanie, and she'll hopefully verify that I am not a complete nutty, anti-social freak ;)

    *Tiptoes back in*
    Hellooooo Everyone

Can I come back :D:D. I fell off the wagon last year, no reason really, just life etc got in the way, DH started a new job with working away from home, shifts all over the place etc. He is now on a proper rota & I have now cut my hours back from 8-5 to 9-4 (with only 1/2 hour lunch). I bit the bullet & actually joined a class on 6th January as I need the motivation & it was just too easy to miss days here & there.

My first week I lost 4.5lbs but 2nd WI on Monday evening I put on 1.5, teacher was very shocked as was I because I had posted all my meals on my class FB page. Only thing I could think of was no bowel movement for 4 days & totm disappeared then reappeared 3 days later . I could have cried on Monday night, I really could have but my teacher is really good.

I was falling back into the trap of drinking wine every night, now its cut back to a Friday/Saturday only. I have not set a target, I am going to see how I go, I initially said 2 stone 9lbs (to myself) but at the same time, I don't want to look gaunt, so I am open minded at the moment.

I look forward to re-joining again & see some new & some old names. Good luck to everyone on your SW journey!

    Todays EE Plan:-

B- Frozen Berries with FF Nat Yoghurt
Lunch - Chicken with mayo (0.5 syns), salad with ff dressing, WW Pitta (HEB) strawberries, melon, kiwi
D - Spicy Indian Mince, Rice, broccoli & cauliflower (on the side)
Snacks/Syns - HEA - cheese & pickles, 1 syn for milk in tea & coffee, 5.5 syns for kit kat

  • Another 6lbs off today:D. I can't believe I lost 12lb in 2 weeks.

Well done everyone on your losses

Off to the local Italian for tea Friday can anyone recommend what to have for main? Going to have melon for starter but all the meat on the main seems to come with sauce so a bit stuck.

thanks for the link re the slimfast cholcolate caramel treats. I ordered a box yesterday and they've just arrived so, of course, I had to sample one ;) It was quite tasty, although a bit more chewy than I expected. It's a keeper though! Thanks again.
