  • Good afternoon :D

Not much flying going on here (well, not by me anyway :o) DH has walked the dog, cleaned the car, been to the bottle bank and has been putting some skirting on in the kitchen (kitchen fitted in 2002, so about time!) - all jobs from his own list.

DS has been looking at his maths homework all day - he is easily distracted! He has had 2 weeks, and has done no homework, so only has himself to blame (I have asked regularly if he has done any). I have been doing a little studying (not enough really - I see where he gets it from now!). Essay is submitted. Literature review first draft ready to be submitted - if I can see where! I have emailed my tutor. I have also written up all the deadlines for this year in my diary - so there is no excuse for last minute panics (although I am sure there will be plenty!)

I think I may look at some work paperwork now. I would really love to be in a position where I can say 'all done!' but it seems a long way off :(

Hello everyone. Not much flying done here today by me. I've had two long walks with the dogs, one was 2 hours and all three of us came back filthy but happy.

Christmas is over as the decorations and tree have been taken down, but I just ran my finger over the dust then washed my hands. I will do it properly when the flylady list tells me too. Also had a quick hoover round but only to pick up the stray tinsel.

DH on the other hand is busy dusting and polishing his soldier and other museum piece collection. Stinks of polish in here.

I hope you're all having an ok ish, not too much flying, kinda day. It is Sunday, you know.
    Heads up, Natty and Dusty.
Just thought I'd draw this to the attention of our FlyLeaders.:D:p:p:p:p:p

I just redid my Toots and Frog list - I'm having them as one list, colour coded - Black for Toots items, Green for Frogs, and Blue for "needs Mr LW's attention". Mr LW looked at it as I was typing, and has commenced working on one of his Frogs.:T:T:T He has taken the busted shelf out of the lounge cupboard and glued it; it has to sit in the spare room to dry, and the contents have to be out on the floor in front of the cupboard til it's dry and back in place, but it is Progress!:T:T:T

Very lazy day here after last night. The only way I could keep going yesterday was to drink pints and pints of strong coffee all day and throughout the evening, and almost no alcohol. As a result, after OH's b'day party I didn't get much sleep and got up at 6.00am to put a loaf on in the BM so we could have bacon sarnis for breakfast. He, however, slept fantastically well, snoring away like a beached walrus and I know I would have got very short shrift if I'd offered him tea then! All the clearing up is done bar moving a table and some chairs back into the right rooms - I've been doing an hour or so at a time when I felt like it today, while scoffing leftovers. I love leftovers - I've just had two bowls of pea soup with pesto croutons that were to die for. Salmon salad with Charlotte potatoes later.

Mrs Dog rounded everybody up last night if they left the table and then resettled herself under it for a light snooze. She wouldn't eat while they were here and ended up eating a whole tin of dog fud at 2.00am, and sleeping right through until 3.00 pm this afternoon. Obviously not a dog used to the night-time economy in her old life. She is a right !!!!!! though, making up to all the men she's never met before.
    Better is good enough.

Christmas has left Valliland - probably the longerst the decs have been up for years! Ah well. Military type operation to take down; lights properlly stored wrapped around cardboard. All left at bottom of stairs with instructions to those passing to 'carry something up'. They need 'lofting' though. Stuff ironed, more washed and folded.

Toad in the hole with cauliflower and broccoli cheese and home made sponge pud to follow *bloat* yum!

DS has listed stuff on my ebay; I am buying his ipod.

Work tomorrow. Mind you the sorting took 3 days:eek: but at least I know I am walking into a tidy, organised room tomorrow. So I can be glad about that.

    .

Had to smile when I read this. My DH also has a vast number of museum pieces. Railway bits, old aircraft bits, wartime bits, old bus bits and his latest acquisition is an old projector and films dating back to the 1920s. The only problem is, he's not too keen on the dusting, or the putting away! I keep tripping over an aircraft instrument panel in the garage!!

Not much flying done here this afternoon...

Quick museum trip this afternoon for the benefit of DS who has suddenly developed a bit of a thing for geology!

Started a new Toots list in the car on the way (no... I wasn't driving :p)

LW - what's a Frog List - I love lists and any excuse to start a new one!!

Children's lunches done and in the fridge ready for back to school tomorrow and all the rubbish taken out of DS's pencil case and all pencils/crayons re-sharpened and put back.

Just need to get the shoes polished tonight then I can flop in front of the gogglebox for some much needed r&r!

Boddy hope she is better soon. Just a thought but could it be whooping cough? Colds are viral so the ABs will not necessarily help, only if say the mucus has become infected. Is the cough the worst symptom, is it changing at all or is the tiredness the worst part in terms of a post viral fatigue? Glad she is going back to the GP, don't let her be fobbed off with yet another script for ABs.

Dinner done and DH clearing up. DS2&3 in the showers atm then DOI with the ironing is the order of the day.

LW, I have the memory (and other things in common) of an elephant. I WILL get my own back. :rotfl:

Susan, I wish we had a garage sometimes.
