I want to take the decs down, but I am meeting with much resistance from the rest of the household! I will do my best with the lists tomorrow, and also hopefully get the carpets vaxed & the chairs covered as a minimum - oh, and put some washing on. I think I may go to bed soon, so I can make a reasonable start in the morning.

I'm going to be in this week
Think I'll put the decorations away Monday. If I do it right I can keep the foil garlands for next year instead of having to replace them againMight do it in stages working backwards, tree first as it was last up.

I have plans for 2014, mainly improving my health, but I also want to up my income through surveys/clicks/competitions etc, maybe find a new job if something suitable comes up, get the house decorated top to bottom (we've been here 10 years June 1st and the house is showing it!), and get back to being old style like I was a few years back.
You know what? I'm going to start taking the tree down now. DD will love coming back to a box of sweets for her to have.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I'm in! *GRINS*
Susan - flyladies do not fail - if necessary we defer or delegate or prioritise;)
Lovely to see returners (Wendywitch and Lil_me for two)
have ironed everything thus far but the washing basket is full again. Words were had as DS has dumped into laundry basket instead of putting clean washing away...he seemed to think it didn't matter. Stuff promptly returned to his room (with vocal accompaniment - I'm sure you can guess...) and put in drawer because if he thinks I am washing and ironing what I washed and ironed and he hasn't worn he's another think coming.
I have stripped his bed. Last time I looked it wasn't made. I won't be making it...
HELP PLEASE
I have a home-frozen turkey crown, just over 3kilos (6 pounds). I plan to cook it for New Year (Wednesday). How long will I need to thaw it for?
Was thinking of polyboxing it and sticking it in the shed to thaw. Would HUGELY appreciate advice. (Was whoopsied & yellow stickered)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thanks for the lists. Thanks Natty for last weeks thread.
I'm in because I need to be!
I would like to reduce some clutter this year and freshen up the downstairs of the house.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Thank you for the list, my ironing basket is now empty, but will have contents again by the morning, I don't think I can get through all the washing by New Years Eve so I need to either wash past a certain time or iron wet clothing to class the basket as empty
.
My 2014 plan is to definitely be more MSE, up my income in any way possible with the view to increasing my family a little bit more, to let go of the past and stop dwelling on things that I can no longer change. Finally to finish painting the blasted hallway it should not take 15 months in a flat; or even 15 hours for that matter.

Thank you Dusty for the new list and Natty for last week's. I'm in. Lovely to see new and returning flyladies as well as the regulars posting today!
This house looks beautiful after all our work, at least on the surface, but I know that there is still clutter in the cupboards and unsorted paperwork in the loft. So in the coming weeks and months I shall be on a mission to tidy, sort and declutter the hidden corners, in addition to the more obvious flying. But DH and I also need to develop a new way of life that allows each of us to settle into our new community and grow and thrive here as individuals as well as a couple, and that is definitely going to be the biggest challenge of 2014.0 -
Thanks Dusty for the new list. I'm on. Ironing basket is currently empty. This will change when I unload the 5 wash loads on the maiden.
Hello Serena. Nice to see your back.
I got all my washing done! Go me!!!
NYE party at ours looming. I've planned nothing!!
Work tomorrow. DH has instructions to do a food shop. This should be interesting!0
