faulty Hudl tablet, no receipt

We've had three Hudl's with faulty mini USB charging ports - they all get so loose they won't charge. The screen on one is dodgy too and unresponsive.
I've asked Tesco on Facebook what they are doing to rectify this manufacturing problem, but so far they've fudged an answer. Our local store said they'd had oodles of Hudls back, so there is clearly a problem.
I get the feeling that Tesco isn't dealing with this at all0 -
my hudl had the same problem, also with no reciept, i took it back to the shop, they rang the helpline for me, and they guided me through resetting the tab step by step, they were very helpfull, since then it has been working fine, hope this helps :beer:wins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0

Tesco hudl the charging ports are useless. We are on our third hudl already and are aware of many others who are having the same problem which is a shame because the product is basically very good but is seriously let down by this cheap charging port. Anyone else having the same problem?0

Yes me. Customer service manager was rude on the phone. Complained to Tesco on their Facebook page a month ago; no reply. There is a Facebook page dedicated to the faulty Hudl charge port. There are lots of us therefore but none of us are doing anything about it like contacting Watchdog.0

There's little point in taking your Hudl back to the store, they don't deal with returns, there is a dedicated freefone number that does it (listed on the receipt, not that that's any help to you). Give them a call on 0800 323 4060 and explain about the lack of receipt, I would expect them to sort out an exchange for you - they send a courier with the new one and pick up the old one.
These are the best people to talk to, will be an option for hudl.
Moreover, I believe they have the validate the transaction if it was done via a clubcard.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Mine was out of warranty and I had the same problem, a wonky charging port.
I went to this site and watched the video on there about replacing the part myself. Cost was £14.95 for the part and once I'd got the back off it took me 2 minutes.

Hope this helps someone
