Saying that, we've been using micro USB since 2007 and never had a tablet or phone stop charging. Im guessing your being too rough putting it in the hole.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
It's a HUDL & thus 'young', it's bust & therefore rates an exchange - take it down to Tesco & see what customer services can do for you.
With any club cards etc you can lay hands on.
Best of luck!0 -
Hi, yes we will have used the clubcard. I'll pop in tomorrow with it. snip
Clubcard cannot:
- issue a new receipt,
- know what you bought.
However, if it was just that item purchased, they may be able to confirm that to the store.
First go on the Tesco website - go into 'my clubcard account' and you should be able to see the transaction under 'points' 'November'. If you can see the transaction - print a screen shot, but first have a word with the 'Technical' people there - they may have a solution for you.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
OK, still no receipt, but we do have the clubcard and a bank statement from that date. The only problem is I know we bought the Hudl plus a some other items, so the value is approx £8 more than the Hudl cost.
The bank statement does show a reference number for the transaction.
Finally, whats the deal with packaging. This was bought in October so the box/packaging is long gone?
Thanks[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Tesco are a big store with a reputation to maintain so there's a good chance they'll help. You don't need the packaging to get a remedy under the Sale of Goods Act so don't worry about that.
Just remember that if the fault was caused by accident or misuse then they don't have to help.0 -

Dont worry about the packaging as it's a faulty item.0 -

I find that really hard to believe. It's the whole point of shopping analytics, otherwise how does club card know how to target vouchers for example?
Shopping data metrics is big business now and the club card records everything you buy, in what quantity, frequency and price...0 -

Yes, if a clubcard was used I think its fairly certain that Tesco as an entity knows OP bought a Hudl. Whether or not that information is made available to the customer service staff is another question though.0 -
We returned a hudl case to tescos as it wasnt compatible with the hudl. We had no receipt and DD had ripped and drawn all over the box. They exchanged it for the new style case (which does fit), without any argument. the member of staff even commented that a receipt wasnt necessary as you can only buy hudl stuff in tescos, but he did also comment that 'its christmas' so was being generous0
