I didn't get anything weird but I got something for my OH that was just nuts
..........
Fungal nail treatment lol!!!
Now he's been banging on about this for months so I bought some from boots (other pharmacutical type shops are available!) but was shocked that it was so expensive. I didn't plan to wrap it up, it just happened.
Luckily he saw the joke it was meant to be0 -

And I can't give it back to her - she "loved it so much, she bought herself one. A bigger one which is red, silver and black." *shudder*
**shudder**
I actually walked pas a stall in town the other week which was selling these and wondered why on earth anyone would want to buy them?!
Maybe you could give it back to her to put on her bedside table?£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
I know someone who would LOVE that! put it on ebay and I will point her to it! she is famous for loving 'kitchs' and that would come out every Christmas, either that, or would have a permanent home in her living room!
I think I would cry if someone gave me that - I only had a small 'arrangement' off the grandkids and am wondering where the hell to put it.0 -

Now i don't want to sound like a snob BUT my decor in my house is calm, neutral colours (eathy tones and all that LOL) and my living room is white with pale sage green accents - i like country style/shabby chic and vintage.
So what possessed her to think that something similar to the monstrosity in the link below would be nice in my living room, don't know!!! The actual one is twice the size (would fill a fireplace) and is neon pink with tall black spikey bits - and yes, it has flashing lights. (Sorry if this offends anyone who has one, lol!)
I wouldn't mind so much but she asked my hubby what i would like - and i suggested a Lush gift set. So i went over expecting my lovely smellies and got that. And then hubby, when we got home, was like "u dont like it, do you" and then i felt so bad and now i have it on display.

Probably.Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
My DH got an ice scraper!!! - To be fair it was from DD (4 1/2) and it is the first year she has been mobile enough to get herself around the shops so I took her to B&M and told her she could pick what she wanted to give Daddy - and then promptly had to steer her away from buying him a chain for the door because "it shine"!0

Just to clarify - i have nothing against artificial flowers... in fact I have a few from http://www.bloom.uk.com/ which are beautiful.
Amazing what the difference a black vase, flashing neon lights and a smattering of black spikey things can makeBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Last year: a brewery tour and tasting we had to drive to. I don't drink.
This year: alcoholic chocolates. I don't drink. Photo session from buy a gift. Nearest place 40 miles away. Swapping it costs money and no refunds...
Just bizarre choices.
They don't drink either so next year I'm buying them a bottle of brandy instead of thoughtful stuff.
Grump over as actually santa was very thoughtful! If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
