  • Haven't reported in a few days, it's been manic but I've been good.

Tuesday was soup, Wed wholemeal pittas with hummus, cucumber and tomato and today I'm back to soup!

Tonight I might finally get round to making falafels...

    Think I'm now up to 8/15 # 65

Hi all :) hope everyone is ok? I like the sound of sultana porridge, I might give that a bash sometime! I'd stick a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon in there too, bit of grated apple maybe... Ooh I'm getting hungry thinking about it!

NSD and LTW for me, as mum very kindly got me some bits from M*rrisons!
Back to my clean eating: meat, fish, veg, salad, natural live greek yogurt and eggs! Want to do it solidly for a week or so to come off the sugar/caffeine/cr*p/alcohol... Just not looking forward to the headaches again!!

I'll have to man up and stop being a big bubbles about it, although I'm thinking of taking a week off work to do it! :rotfl:

HI LTW'ers! Loving all the talk of falafals, have i started something? :D
if any of you come across a good recipe, please share it!

B17c- i am with you in the clean eating thing. As i was saying to Dozey Crow, i want to eat healthier and lose some weight. I have 13lbs to lose, but it's not all about weight loss, it's about feeling like I am nourishing my body and looking after myself, instead of waking up every morning bloated and feeling sluggish because I fill my body with rubbish.
Dont get me wrong, i love healthy food. But unfortunately I also love sweet stuff.

I have changed my snacks to fruit, nuts and seeds for the last 2 days and already feel better, although i have very strong cravings for high sugar foods.

Will update you all in a bit, just chilling out at the moment :)

#36 reporting 11/22 LTW. I am letting myself off the day I bought crisps as I had brought both my lunch and breakfast to work that day.

Lunches have been egg mayo sarnies or soup with GF crackers or oatcakes, fruit x 2 and rice pud. Breakfast has been either cereal or a bagel.

I ran out of Christmas chocs this morning so pinched a mini curly wurly from DS treat box. I have now remembered I have some GF ginger biscuits so will have these tomorrow and bake some treats at the weekend. I am also going to make some lentil and bacon soup in the slow cooker and will have this next week as well as rice, feta and bacon salad and ham and pineapple pizza wraps. These are an idea I have come up with so will see if they are any good.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

I've been eating clean since June, and can definitely vouch for the benefits. I am never bloated, I've maintained my usual dress size (6, which I have been my whole life except a period 4 years ago when and I ate a lot of bacon butties and pizza and put on 4 stone and went up three dress sizes... we don't talk about that), as in my weight hasn't fluctuated AT ALL since June, and I have much more energy. Getting enough omega three is important too so I hide Udos Choice oil in smoothies and salads. It's easy once you're into it because you stop craving all the junk, and I actually don't like things like pizza and fast food at all. I do have to give in to chocolate though... now and then :D

Today was a bit of a disaster, forgot to put my slow cooker on last night, had nothing to grab, so had no dinner to take to work! I didn't want to spend money so I got a Subway with my points, which was okay but now I feel sluggish and my IBS is playing up. Boo, processed carbs :(

Thanks Kitty. Have you always eaten this way or just since June? I am hoping the cravings subside soon!

I have eaten that way for most of my life because both my parents know their stuff when it comes to food, so when I was young I was fed very very well (biodynamic and organic veg and meat and no sweets). I did rebell as soon as I was old enough to go and eat with friends etc, and once I started cooking for myself that was when it started to all go down hill, but that was a lesson I guess I needed to learn to get back into eating right and realise the benefits of my upbringing!
