Hey everyone, turns out they didn't need me to work, overstaffed and they knew I wasn't well soooo... They offered, I took!
So even though I was supposed to be at work and now I'm not, I'm not leaving the house for the next 2 days so won't be spending, does this still count as a LTW? As I'll be eating stuff from the cupboards? I fancy soup!

Also, slightly off topic, hope you don't mind, have 'party food' and other processed stuff in the freezer, it won't get chucked but it'll stay there until someone eats it, should I use it all up today to get rid of it and continue the new year healthy and as I mean to go on?
Or keep it in there for when money is tight one month and the healthy will go out of the window until I get paid again?
Or am I tempting fate? Arrrgghghghhhhh! X

Yep, as long as you dont buy ANYTHING, it'll count towards your LTW :)

Re the party food- how much are we talking about? Just a few packets of sausage rolls etc, or lots more than that? personally, i would keep it in the freezer and use a few bits every week. Either towards your LTW or dinner etc.

Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I have got : packet of value chickie nuggets (unopened)
    1/2 pack breaded fish fingers
    Pack of potato waffles (unopened)
    2 breaded chickie steaks
5 packs assorted party foods eg breaded mozzarella sticks etc
I have IBS, food intolerances and other health issues and its been recommended I cut out processed stuff, dairy and grains and potatoes coz my body struggles with these foods...eg if it wasn't dug up, caught or picked don't eat it! I'm sick of feeling crap all the time and having...erm... explosive reactions when I eat the wrong stuff!
So I'm in two minds to just use it all up today ( not eaten all by me!) so it's out of the flat, and going forward just sticking to meat/fish/salad/veg etc and get my health back on track this year! X

In that case, i agree with you, use it all up. Do you have a family/partner that will eat the majority of it for you? I don't want you making yourself ill just because you want to use it up.

I am going back to basics with my diet this year, frsh fruit and veg, meat and fish, wholegrain pasta and rice etc.
  • Please can I join?

I work part time 3 days a week and must spend about £5 each time. I buy breakfast, drinks and lunch at work. I work in retail so no facilities to heat any food up!

I shouldn't be tooooo bad with the party food.. And tbh I'm off today and tomorrow and been having explosive reactions for the past week with gastroenteritis anyway, what's another couple of days! sorry, TMI!

No partner now, staying with my mum until I can clear my debts and rent a flat. Not sure if I'll stay in Scotland or move back to London, don't think I can afford London prices!

Mum will help me eat it :) thanks for your concern :A

Want to start 2014 as I mean to go on and get healthy and fit again!

So we'll strike off 1st January as the day when all the crap needs using up, get rid of our hangovers with hair of the dog (not me, no hangover, only had one glass of red last night) and eat the last few Quality Street remaining and start our New Year on the 2nd!
(That's water in there, not beer) x

Well with such pants weather I'm getting prepared. Large pan of tomato and veggie soup on the hob. Hopefully this should be lunch for me and hubby for Thurs and friday. Just need to add a wrap to his lunch and that'll be two days ticked off the list.
