Spendy day today as did foodshop. £8.74 in Mr m, £9.83 in aldi and £1.05 in tesco. Annoyingly I waited till aldi to get homous and they had sold outso had to pop to tesco express at bottom of road for some as its my weekend treat
Went for a 25 min swim and walked there so 30 min walk :A
Also spent 99p on a kindle book called the medicinal chef as it is today's daily deal. Like the idea behind it as watched the food hospital which I found fansinating. The recipes are all good for you and look delicious! There's quite a few choc ones I'm going to try like the no cheese cheesecake which has a date and nut base and is made from avocado and cocoa powder for the top:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
I have two bank accounts, one with my mortgage and D/D payments for all the bills, including minimum credit card payments, my main wage goes in there. It now covers it all (full time wage) with a bit extra.
Then my other accounts gets a small Saturday wage, tax credit and maintenance. This I'm going to use £400 a month for spending, food, fuel anything else, £100 a week. What's left will go to the debt. Its at £14600.
I have done 2 spend free days, so far. Had to spend £10 on food yesterday. So £390 left.
Walked 30 minutes with dog yesterday and 40 minutes today.
Promised my friend to join slimming world next week, as I need to get in a size 10 ball gown at the end of the month. I wore it once, 5 years ago. Yikes. My mum has some I can borrow if it doesn't fit. Its a work free do.

Don't need much shopping wise over the weekend thankfully, now off to write my list and meal plan to keep that list as small as possible.
Managed to source a pair of hair clippers from Points2sh0p using points i had generated over the xmas break. He has decided he likes my points earnings and now has his sights on a large telly paid for purely from points0 -
I too suffer with SAD. Its not too bad yet this year, but January and February are bad month. I find exercise really helps. Especially walking the dog, in what ever sun you can find. Maybe depression and debt go hand in hand, sometimes??

I've just caught up with reading what everyone has been up to.
This is moving very fast.
My thoughts are with those suffering from depression and SAD as I'm also affected by them both.
The light boxes are expensive but the cheapest one I've seen was at a shop called Maplins. They had a small desk top one for £39.99.
I've not had a spend free day yet, as I've been to Aldi to do my big shop. I was really pleased by the choice they have and have managed to downshift quite a few products even though I usually shop in Lidl.
Although I've not got any NSD yet, everything is well within budget and I've got everything I need to last me.
I'd like to ask your opinion on something if you don't mind.
I've just received £80 refunded on a faulty product that I don't need to replace. I want to use it towards my debts but don't know whether to give it all to one creditor or split it evenly between the 4. They are all on 0% interest as I have an arrangement with them.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
I've just updated my signature and it's looking good.
Unless you count an hour walking round Aldi, I've not done any exercise yet. I better get cracking otherwise it's all going to have to be done at the end of the challenge. Can't see me running a half marathon.
Hope those of you experiencing the bad weather are safe.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

Good Evening all... long day for me with a lovely friend who needed a shoulder for a few hours. I bought us tea and had an apple strudel slice thingy (since it was a sendy day) and she bought us dinner... 4 hours later we hit Tescos together and I put back everything I picked up bar the essentials as I was being a bit grabby grabby for the sake of being there...
I might do a bit of a better shop on Sunday though between baking, the gym, cinema with same friend and visiting the new flat to hand over a deposit and sign my new house contract..
So am gonna be out of contact tomorrow as per usual with a brief 2 hour meet up with a friend who is currently travelling Africa but came home for Christmas and new tyres for his motorbike which he is travelling on - should be an inspirational sit down..
Sorry I can't check everything people have written - it's been a long day and I have been up since 0500 this morning..
I will be doing check up's on Saturday night...
If there are any questions I will be sifting through them all properly tomorrow as well...

Hello again - love reading this thread, just what I needed after the Day-2-back-at-work blues set in!
Progress for me today was another NSD, lunch to work (since I was working from home I REALLY had no excuses! but I did manage to use up leftovers to make a nice healthy omelette) and (drum roll) an alcohol free Friday night! Given I've been mrs grumpy all day with work, and I used to unwind with a glass of red on a Friday, I'm now feeling quite perky that I managed to survive without alcohol (but no one said ginger nuts were off the menu)
Off food shopping tomorrow, but well planned to use up the freezer stash so hopefully a small one - am planning on Aldee to maximise my downshift challenge numbers!

Kitty boo - do you have an emergency fund? If not I would put the £80 in there if your cards are 0%. Alternatively, pay £80 off the one which ends soonest to help get rid of it... Be interested to,see what others think.
To add to my earlier post, I make my choc cake to decorate tomorrow. We ate leftover trifle (also with 9pm cream) for tea. As well I made some hobnobs. Half plain and half with chopped glace cherries. Lovely with a cuppa. Meal plan pretty much done for the week. Only bread and milk needed so far...
