  •:eek::eek:...Does he have a nice single vegan Christian brother who's preferable over 6ft who likes buying cars aswell..??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: sorry kat, he has 4 meat eating, short brothers who are all attached :p :rotfl:
I think he is trying to tell me he is sick of chauffeuring me about what do u think :rotfl:

Well I was going good today until I realised we had ran out of milk so had to go to the shop. In my defence I only bought the milk, was tempted by the magazines but was a good girl :D but have lost my NSD
Won't get one 2moro either as I need to top up the girls bus passes for school on mon. Ah well!

Have sat today and sorted out all my budgets and have my envelopes ready so will take money out 2moro and divide it up. I'm hoping that having it in cash will help instead of paying by card and losing track of spends.

Have one outing planned for the end of the month, it's my eldests 9th birthday so we are going out for a family meal and cinema. Will try to go to the sat morning show as it's only £1 but will have to see what film she wants to go to.

Sorry for waffling, off for a cuppa and browse on pinterest :D

    Hello all :hello:

MrsGSR Sorry to hear that you are feeling low- sending you a smiley heart and virtual hugs :heartsmil This Forum is superb for support and providing focus when it all seems a little grey. The weather definitely affects my mood and general motivation as well. The weather and festivities have stumped my exercise (I usually go for a run twice a week with friends, but this has been postponed again), so I will be looking to partake in an exercise DVD. Is this an option for you if you can't get out?

Beckyboo Absolutely loved reading about your DD- she is already so inspirational! I bet you are super proud!

So I am up to 2 Sfds
    Still no exercise...

Set up my savings accounts today so monies are now in their correct places! :T I've noticed that in the past few days I have already received two credit card offers from banks- straight into the recycling bin they went!

I have registered for donating blood today (this is a 2014 aim and also an item from my bucket list). I have never donated before, as even giving a blood sample at the Drs takes an absolute age with me (it's like trying to find a vein in a stone), but I have always wanted to do it, and what better goal than one that could potentially help or even save somebody else's life?! So I will need to wait for an opportune moment when I can donate locally.(Preferably somewhere within walking distance)

Think I might finish my evening by collecting some n3ctar points through adpoints and reading my free Lonely planet book on my K1ndle! :)

My second NSD of the year today so going well. I did spend; a sandwich and bag of crisps (used Boots points so cost me nothing) and a free Maccy D's coffee with a voucher. so had my fix of spending without actually spending :)

Tomorrow is my first day back at work (groan) and have my food all ready. Saturday will be a small spend day as I need a few things like fruit, veg and washing power, but will hopefully keep it under a tenner.

Just wrote a mahoosive post and lost it all. Raging!

First day back at work tomorrow so shall make a salad to take, we also get free soup so I might have that too depending on what's in it! Feeling loads better now so will be getting some exercise in tomorrow.. I'll get loads running around at work (waitressing) and its 1hr walk round trip so that helps but I'm not sure if its classed as exercise unless its above and beyond what you normally do? That might just be if you're trying to lose weight...
Anyhoo, I am trying to lose weight so I might just keep walking on the way home!

Mrs GSR, I suffer from anxiety too (on meds, not PND though) it always seems that little bit worse around Xmas and New Year which is a shame coz its a time for joy and celebrating (and stress and overspending!)
It helps me to think that the lighter nights and warmer weather isn't too far away, when we can walk along the sea front or visit parks, take picnics and eat al fresco, sit in the garden with a G&T... I'm trying hard to channel all my energy into saving money, paying my debt off and living frugally because things have to change to get better.
Anyway, my point being, you're not alone, we're all here and whenever you need support, or to chat, moan, fret, laugh, rage or need a virtual hug, we're here :)

I'd better go do my salad, and I'm getting a hot water bottie coz its wild and wooly here! Then a bit of Bond, James Bond I think ;)

  • First day back at work and not a very productive DFW wise apart from taking a packed lunch :) I have been out on visits all day today in a far flung area of my patch and desperate for the loo, I had to 'visit' a little garden centre to use their facilities . . . . they had oodles of post Christmas goodies on sale at 70% off and so I treated DD2 to a blown glass bauble for her collection for the princely sum of £1.30

    Hi Everyone,

Well here goes. I have finally worked out most of my numbers, with the exception of the debt total and DFD which I will try to calculate tomorrow.

    SFD 1/20
    Food budget £26.86/£150 - covers 2 adults, 5 dogs, 3 chicks, 1 parrot and all household/cleaning/toiletries
    Petrol £0/£100
Down shift 0/5 - I will try but already shop at Aldi and use some own brands etc. just for the record I will NOT down shift on my coffee :D
    Lunch to work 1/22
    Outings 0/0
    Cafes etc no problem
Food bank £0/£8 - catch up from December
    Exercise 0/15 - I will try
    Debt Free Date TBC
Spreadsheet, notebook and diary in use :rotfl:
Beauty spends £0/£0 - already accounted for in food budget above.
No purchase of alcohol - changed to chocolate as I don't tend to drink
Money in envelopes does not work for me so will keep money in bank accounts and monitor in spreadsheets and notebook

Food budget is higher than I wanted for January but it does include an amount for OH's birthday dinner. Much more :money: than going out for a meal.

I will not be putting the £5 lunch money aside as I am taking a selection of snacks left over from Christmas to keep in my desk for emergencies.

Had a nice surprise today when I got into work. I was given £50 that I won in a Premiership Predictor Game that We play every week. There was a larger pot to cover the 4 sets of matches over the Christmas and New Year period. Now it works out that I am already quids in for the season as I have already won one of the weekly games before this. Not bad for a girl :rotfl:

:grouphug: to everyone that wants or needs them

    Chez x

Ps I will update my signature tomorrow x
That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"
  • Goodenss, the thread moves fast! I am still away from home so I don't feel properly 'settled' back into my routine yet. here's my figures:
    1. SFD 1/20
    2. Food budget 0/450€
    3. Brand downshift 0/5
    4. Lunch to work n/a
    5. Arranged outings 0/4
    6. Exercise 2/25
    7. Beauty spends 0/£10

I have been skiing for to solid days so that's a good start to my fitness regime!
    Seriously money saving

Thank you to everyone for your kind words.
Pheonix,it does help me yes, I try to walk as often as possible and I have a very physical job but I don't really get the opportunity to do actual formal exercise thanks to DHs work hours and not having time away from the children, I should try and do something at home really but not sure what...
I keep thinking about a lightbox but I can't afford one just now.

I use this light bulb in my room to help with SAD

Like a few on here I'm using up the baddies in the fridge/freezer and emptying my treat box lol... Had a pretty healthy day though all in all...

Not a SFD alas as I had to return some stuff on e-bay which cost £7.00 p&p!!! and also paid into our work fund for tea/coffee etc to bring me up to date.

Planned day out tomorrow evening with friends but will hope to pick up some more SFDs at weekend... although - I do wanna go see the Hobbit : Desolation of Smaug :D

    Hi everyone!

Hugs to those of you having a hard time, and congratulations to everyone making progress with the NSD's/exercise! I'm hoping my motivation will last the month....

Exercise 1 and NSD 1 to report, though tomorrow will be VERY spendy as had to take my rabbit to the vets. So tomorrow I have the vets bill, plus need to invest in a nebuliser and a giant tupperware (to put her in to be nebulised!) as she has a respiratory infection and it's better to treat her at home if possible -and cheaper too!. She will also need extra-dust-free bedding, at great expense, obviously. Some of this will be coming from my spend budget, and OH has given me a bit but sadly there will be a bit of damage to the CC, probably only about £120 but it is very annoying when I was making such good progress!! All outings except for a work-related networky one (free except for train) and my birthday (which OH is buying my dinner at!) have now been cancelled. But I don't begrudge the poorly bun her expensive new 'toy' and bedding!
