    Happy Tuesday everyone!

Ooo, its getting close to the end of the month – finally!! SFD here again so might just squeak in with 20! Set off to pick DH up at the station and go to the gym but just still felt so rotten that we turned around and came home again. I just can’t shake this monster cold. It’s been over a month now with two colds in a row… moan moan sorry!

Very excited to see Feb’s challenge – this is my fave bit of the month, heading towards a debt payment and preparing for the next month’s frugal fun!

  • SD today. Popped to Lidl's. Went over my food budget but a lot of what I got is actually for February, but I'm still counting it in January.

Not going to make my SFD target. I think I have an infection so am going to go and get some cranberry juice tomorrow and got the doctor's on Thursday, which means probably a prescription too.

But, nothing I can do about that, needs must.

Counting the days until the end of the month and the new February Challenge.

  • Evening all. Nothing much to report. SFD number 16 today whoop whoop!

Walked to work. Packed lunch as usual.

Tomorrow will be a spendy day as having my hair cut, so will have a look to see if I need any food, or whether I can manage until the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing what challenge NSK has for us for February.

    Have a good Wednesday everyone!

    Hi everyone

Finished work late tonight and last night so just a quick check in to say hello and to update my new signature! Yes Kat, yesterday was my DFD! I was too tired to do anything nice Tiptoes apart from go sleep and bagsie another SFD :o Thankyou all for your kind words :A

So, even though my DFD has been achieved, I'm still not out of the woods yet. Ive managed to put a little bit aside for savings and the car/xmas fund after clearing the overdraft/ allowing for direct debits etc but I still have quite a tight budget to adhere to in February. This is partially because I have booked dental check up and hygienist appointments as part of my January health MOT and there may also be a trip home to see family which will cost about £70 in fuel..

March will also be tight due to the cost of fees involved with applying for a lower interest mortgage, and the following month I will have house related expenses/ wills etc to sort so I am looking at being able to save properly come May time..

I too am looking forward to Frugal February so sign me up now Kat! :j

Hope you are all keeping well, Im off to push out some zeds now and will check in tomorrow..

    nighty night all

Well done PheoniX on your debt free status!!

I have had a funny month, I started really strong and enthusiastic, for the first couple of weeks, got fed up and did nothing in week three and then gave myself a real talking to.

I am bored with not achieving my objectives and I want 2014 to be different, so for the last 7 days I have spent nothing, exercised every day and earned myself an extra £150.00 !!! which means that if I abstain from alcohol until Saturday, and exercise for an hour a day until the end of the month I will have achieved all my goals for this month.

FIRST TIME EVER! Must keep focussed, cockiness will earn me a trip before the finish line xx. (would be nice though if the trip was from one of the competitions that I have entered and not one that ends up in a broken nose!)

  • Ummm so we haven't gone for a "Fit February" but is has more to do with frugality without the matchy words.. I should probably do that again but the take your lunch to work thread names kinda make me cringe... but since it's a short monthI thought best to return to an old favorite. Zombies. Haha!
