  • I love this thread!!

Be warned another fat and poor poster :rotfl:

    My goals are...
    1) clear my credit card
    2) save every month
    3) ride my horses more (sounds stupid but I don't do it enough and it will help me with my next goal and it keeps me sane!)
    4) lost 2 stone
    5) stop eating crap!
    6) make some new friends!
    7) Get fitter
    8) do a colour run (will need to do number 7 for this too :D)
    9) find something to appreciate every single day, it's so easy to find a negative with my days but I don't look for the positive, going to try this instead.
    10) learn a new skill
    11) a relationship would be nice...

Phew! Thinks that's all, it's always good to aim high!!

    Goals for 2014 - Here's hoping I stick to them!! :p

1 - Finish paying off my last credit card and cancel it! - £2401.22 left to go, should be done by the end of march! :j
    2 - Stop smoking
3 - Lose weight - ALOT of it!
4 - Stop drinking diet coke completely
    5 - Go to the dentist (I haven't been for about 3 years now :o )

Not too many, some easy, some hard (stopping smoking :( ) but I'm determined that 2014 will be the year that I FINALLY get my life in order and start doing something, rather than sitting on my bum and hoping it will all fix itself!

    Update on no.6.

Had my 2nd driving lesson today & loved it!!!!

Spent ages goin around roundabouts cos I was a bit panicky over them the last time.

I am so much more comfortable with them now.

Next lesson is on Monday 6th January which will be another 2 hour lesson.

Will be moving onto manoeuvres next time, I am excitedddddddddd.

Not got anything to update on my other goals nor do I have any more to add yet.

Still think this is the best thread ever.

What a great thread. I am flabby and poor and my list is:

-Pay off secured loan before I am made redundant in the summer. This is a biggy!
    - Find a new challenging job with a salary that begins with a 3
    - Lose half a stone
    - Exercise at least twice a week and keep up the fell walking which I love
    - Clear the 2 CC DH and I took out this year and get rid
    - Save £5k
    - Overpay mortgage by £2k
    - Run 5k if dodgy back allows if not sort out dodgy back
    - DS to sleep all night in his own bed then get dry at night
    - Improve my diet by eating more f&v and ensuring 100% GF on a budget
    - Stick to a food budget, our biggest area of overspending
    - Start writing my first e-book
    - Think about/research starting a blog on same subject as e-book
    - Visit/walk/do everything on mine and DH '50 places to visit' list for 2014. This will mean we are spending more time as a family, doing things as a couple and will relieve stress for DH as well as saving money as most are free or cheap and will help with our fitness

Good luck everyone with your goals

    Mine are

To pay down as much debt as possible.
    To clear the clutter.
Use up the old food that I bought on a whim, so clearing the kitchen cupboards
Start to get my activity up to 10000 steps a day.
Master a few Christmas recipes so next Christmas will be even cheaper.
Mid year look into transferring some credit card debt to a zero interest card to accelerate its elimination.
Go through all my old bank statements to get my computerised accounts balanced. So I can make projections.
Plan for my long train journey around the USA
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.
