Goals for 2014

An update so far...
1)Become self-employed: I spent a couple of hours yesterday setting up a shop on Ebay and then surfed the net for wholesale suppliers. I can't buy anything yet as I need to save up £100 for my initial stock... but the wheels are rolling in the right direction.
2)I need to lose 42 lbs: Started my healthy eating lifestyle yesterday. No junk... plenty of fruit and veg. Very little wheat and sugar. I did really well.... but I did have about six cups of coffee. I really need to get that number down.
3)Heal hiatus hernia naturally. Started losing weight yesterday :rotfl:but I did have two slices of toast with organic peanut butter for breakfast this morning. I really want to knock wheat on the head ASAP. If I meal plan this will be a lot easier, natural yoggie and fruit for tomorrow's breakfast I think.
4)Finish writing my sit com. Nothing as of yet.
5)Clean and de-clutter house and keep on top of it. Hoovered through, gave all rooms a bit of a spruce and listed three things on Ebay.
6)Pass my driving test. Nothing as of yet. Planning on booking a few lessons for next month when I have some spare cash.
7)Stick to grocery budgets every month. NSD yesterday... minimum spends today... fresh fruit, nuts, milk and PomBears for the little one. All meals shall come from stores and the 500gms of cubed pork I have got out of the freezer, I shall cook and make pork in mustard with half and sweet and sour with the other half.
8)Add to my full & final settlement fund. Added to my F&F Fund yesterday... grand total of £16.02 at the mo.
9)Give love, patience and kindness in abundance and hopefully receive the same. :heart2: Yesterday I didn't rise to my Ex's bait when he tried to get a reaction from me by sending sarcastic texts... I just ignored them. (This is unheard of for me, he normally lights my temper like a Roman Candle.) This was my patience for yesterday lol.
Kindness... I invited my elderly Aunt to lunch as she is feeling a bit low at the moment.
Love... I had a lovely 30 minute snuggle on the sofa with my Little One as we watched 'In The Night Garden.'
That's it for now. Have a lovely day everyone. xx :wave:0/42 lbs :j

Hi everyone, I've been a bit absent of late with my weekly updates. Following the death of my father in law, I received a call on the 11 April that my dear dad had taken a massive stroke. I've been visiting him twice daily in hospital since then. He is a never-smoker, keeps fit, eats a mega healthy diet, has excellent bp and is not overweight (infact he has just lost 2 stones). We are all devastated. He cannot speak or swallow or move his right side. The doctors have said the stroke was of massive proportions but they don't know what has cause it. I am living day to day at the moment. I'm not thinking about my diet, or my goals and to be honest debt busting is the last thing on my mind. However, I know I need to keep an eye on it otherwise that will be another problem to deal with. Seriously, how much more can happen to my family? I'll try to pop in when I can and see how everyone is getting on.

I'm sorry to hear this NYD. My dad had a sudden stroke in 2011 while I was at Uni, I then went home and ignored everything and everyone for 3 weeks. I hope he gets better soon and hope your family cope as best they can.
In terms of money, this can be dealt with afterwards. Make the essential payments and the rest can be sorted at a later date.
Wishing you all the best.0 -
So sorry to hear your news NYD- life is certainly putting you through the wringer at the moment
I hope there is some good luck heading your way to make up for all the bad xx
