In getting as far as failing a mock driving test you have still managed to succeed where I never did, Dolly
You'll be brilliant next time round
I still haven't caved in and had a cig yet (but have found myself automatically reaching for their usual spot once or twice). The cravings seem to pass reasonably quickly and are bearable, but what I'm finding difficult is the light-headedness. I haven't told anybody in the 'real' world what I'm doing yet and and so when my eldest daughter asked why I was smiling I didn't like to tell her that I'm so overdosed on the unfamiliar substance that is oxygen at the moment that I don't know what day it is. I just carried on grinning inanely and she walked off muttering 'Strange...'

I highly recommend Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking, you can get the book on Amazon. I was expecting giving up to be fairly painful, but it really wasn't!
Good luck with it!
I hate to admit it, but I think I've bought that book twice over the years and may even have a copy lurking in the Kindle app on my phone. I'm definitely not a very good advert for it
Well done to you on quitting. Even if it was not as painful as you expected we both know what a big deal it is, especially after being sucked in by the weed for so long. Huge congratulations on escaping it's clutches :TDecember 'Make £10 A Day' Challenge - £1.82/£155.000 -

Hey Everyone!
Well done Specialbrew on packing in the fags, I hope that you are still fighting it.....I celebrated my 2 year anniversary smoke free on 9 January and I know only too well how difficult it is so I am with you all the way.........keep going! Do you know it didn't even dawn on me that I had passed my anniverary until 11 January - that's how much I don't think about it and I was classed as a heavy smoker, 20 on a normal day and 40 on a night out. Granted I didn't smoke that for the whole 20 years but I was seriously addicted for the whole of that time so it can totally be done and we are right behind you! :grouphug:
