  • Hi all

    Goals for 2014 - update

Pay off credit card - recent addition to my purse, but on 0% for 18 months. - no change
Contribute to my weekly savings account as per challenge - week 3 - so £3 paid
Negotiate part time hours at work - need to write the letter to arrange a meeting.... Still not written
Take little man for a walk in buggy at least 3 times per week - week 3 - was planning one tomorrow, but boiler broken down, have managed to get a call out for tomorrow
Be better organised with meal planning to stop wasting food. - due to little man starting solids have had to plan more meals to ensure he has a good variety. Could still be better
Be better organised with housework - allocate one room per day on a rolling system - Tomorrow will be sorting out laundry room, sorry spare bedroom that now resembles a dumping ground for clothes
Declutter wardrobes and drawers in bedroom - no further on :(.
    Lose weight - at least 1 stone (currently 10st 10lbs) - week 3 - stayed the same
Eat at least 3/5 fruit and veg per day - week 3 fruit intake has increased as sharing more with little man.
    Reduce my misc spends - Week 3 - so far £13 / £33 :j
    Read 4 books - week 3 - 0/4
    No buying toiletries - I haven't bought any. :j
Organise photos and albums - week 3 - no change
    Be a nicer person - I'm trying... :D

  • 1. Get sugar control (I'm diabetic)
    slowly but hopefully surely.

    2. Work out what I need in a savings pot and go for it
no change but roll on payday (Friday!):D

    3. Make mortgage overpayments equivalent to 3x monthly payment
another 12.68 added this week. mortgage payment also transferred so total down from 119481.83 at 31 December to 118694.20 today. this week's payments a combination of TTs and saving from Mr S voucher. up to 14% of my quarterly target

    4. Lose weight. Weighed in at 14.5 stone on 01 jan. Am aiming for 14 stone by 01 march
no change this morning but at least there was no gain. that gives me 5 weeks to lose 6 lbs

    5. Declutter
took 3 items to clothes bin. Not very MSE but one had been resurrected from the charity bag so often, if I hadn't gotten it out of the house, I'd probably wear it again, inspite of my mother commenting that I'd fairly had my money's worth out of it! tact isn't her strong point.
Also, some toiletries set aside to go to a friend who volunteers for Shelter. These will go tomorrow. One item closing on ebay this evening - YAY! Currently at £1.50 with 4 watchers but that'll go towards an OP and be on less thing sitting around. TBH, didn't even know I still had it.

    6. Take garden in hand
    Too cold and miserable

    7. Start 'flylady' daily routines
One habit adhered to all week

    8. Get rid of ugly clothes bought because they fit and not cos they were nice.
    see 5

    9. Appreciate my home and make it nicer
Attacked two clutter spots and found homes for some kitchen essentials purchased

10.be more disciplined in my job
    TBC

    11. Be more consistent in dealing with others
    TBC

    12. Be less wasteful
Recycled and used up food we had as opposed to opting for takeaways and having to dump stuff. Regifted an used present that I would never have used to an appreciative recipient and saved myself some money too!

    13. Donate
    see 5

    14. Volunteer
    not yet happening

    15. Cook more
    not happening due to laziness!
