Ooh joining rather late but I'm in for the savings :) going to set an easy goal of £5000 if that's ok, with maternity leave pay kicking in shortly I won't be able to save for ages but I want a good goal.

Oh and we've had a baby :) Isabella antoinette born 11.1.14 21:47 weighing 6lb 11oz, was a lovely hypnobirth and she's such a good girl

HUUUUUUUGE Congrats Kerri!!!:beer::beer: I love her name and she shares my birthday!:D

Congratulations Kerri on your new arrival!

I haven't been able to get online for a few days but have made a couple of payments to the credit card account, so my running total is now:
    #038 £204.65 / £4016.44

I think this will take me past the 5% mark, and will be my first milestone towards clearing this debt!

Today has been only my second spend day so far this year, and again it was on bad things. I had a fried chicken lunch, bad for the money and for my diet.

But on the upside, by keeping the spends down to two this month I have still got over £400 in the current account, with all the bills already gone out (I think!). If it is still there when payday comes around on the 24th, then it will get diverted to the credit card bill :D:D

  • Hello there

please can I join? with a whopping £15196.00 challenge
I have spent the last few days reading the thread and have been inspired to join in.. I am a lurker, and have been reading on this site for some time. I am determined to shift this mass, having done it once before, I know I can do it again - accumulated due to leaving my career to be closer to home, childcare, less hours and less money.. on the plus side I do get to spend more time with the children : )
I am hopeful that although I may not clear it all, I wont be too far away (finger crossed and everything else!)
thankfully I am able to spend today planning, need to sort house insurance and car insurance which are both up for renewal, so will be visiting all my known cashback sites to do the comparison searches and that should get me a couple of quid.

happy Monday everyone and keep up the good work : )
