I don't get paid for another 2 weeks, my niece owes me loads of money though and she gets paid on Monday, so I should be able to make another payment on the loan on Tuesday
. I have a few items ending on eBay tomorrow too, so hopefully they will sell
Well done to anyone making regular payments. January is a hard month to overpay in.SPC9 #125 - £816.85

I normally get paid on the 25th, just looked and it's a Saturday, so I get paid on Friday! :TLong haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
I get paid on the 28th.
Given that I was paid early in December (20th) this month has been PAINFULLY long!!
And I am a bit disheartened that due to a couple of other things I have fallen off course for my Jan payments - but the good news is, I will be back on track in a couple of months and by May/June am still aiming to have at least half of it gone.Debt Free 08/08/2014

i thought, god, i've only got £100 in my current account until payday! but then i realised
- i had to spend £15 on a new number plate
- £49 on dental costs
- £30 on rabbit vaccinations plus extra for toys/treats - woops
- £50 on new tyres
- we spent nearly £200 in the sales, mostly for people's birthdays
- overpaid on the council tax a little bit so we only have to pay the rest this month
so to be honest, we've not done that bad considering!!0 -

Hi Buffy, I just wanted to check £4465.43 is the amount left and not the amount paid off? Can I possibly ask if you can post the amount paid off in future? If I have to work it out I'll get it wrong! My maths brain switches off when I leave the office.we've picked our holiday and in true MSE style we're going to try and haggle tomorrow:rotfl:
Where are you off to? Exciting!
I know what people mean about January being really slow. I think it's dragging because my body just doesn't seem to know it's January (I can feel my fingers and toes most of the time :rotfl:) I was doing really well with my finances this month, but had to put a lot of fuel in the car for work trips. Over the hump now, where I start to realise £x is plenty to last 12 days (instead of last week where I had £x to last 20 )
Edit: Forgot to say well done for all the payments everyone - I can't wait to tell you how much you've paid off as a group this month! I think you will be really pleasantly surprised

Finally I made a smaller than planned overpayment to my loan. Better than no overpayment, but I better pull my socks up if I've to clear this by the end of the year

We have booked and are off to Los Cristianos in July:j
I might take out £1,000 out of the savings pot to pay off the holiday that way I don't need to worry about taking chunks out of my monthly pay, and can focus on building the pot back up instead.0 -
Ooh joining rather late but I'm in for the savings
going to set an easy goal of £5000 if that's ok, with maternity leave pay kicking in shortly I won't be able to save for ages but I want a good goal.
