Ouch. Just had the repair bill back from a fault accident claim. £19,500. I imagine that's going to hurt my premium a bit0

Hi everyone. Haven't been in here for a while. I'm not doing too well on the debt at all this past month or so
I am starting to panic slightly a bit now TBH with you.
this past 2 weeks I've been able to pay off £50
So I'm now standing at:
#148 £1250/£3000
I'm really disappointed with myself. Just things have came up and needed paying there and then, and now with Christmas just around the corner I'm spending that bit extra. I'm hoping come December though I'll have Christmas done and dusted, so won't have any more spending apart from Food shopping. And everything I've been picking up has been on sale or I've had vouchers which has helped.
Right now my target is to pay HALF of my debt by the end of the year.
Payday is next week and I have a strict budget for myself and determined to stick by it.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

Ouch! Hope everyone was OK though. Accidents happen unfortunately, but don't forget to compare next time you come to renew! I had a fault accident a few years ago, my insurance company put my policy up from £680 to £1300, when I shopped around, I got that down to £810.
Massive congratulations to abba1772! Your debt free roll of honour will follow shortly :T:T:T Sorry to hear about the tax credits...
A lot of pay days on here, and a lot of people getting excitingly close! My OH was paid today, but I have to wait until Monday. Monday pay days suck0 -

I just ran it through on Confused, and it's up from £380 to £640. Not quite as bad as I was expecting, phew! If I change to a sensible car like a Fiesta, it'll be down as far as £300. I'm feeling a rare sense of relief :cool:0 -
