Bah Grumpy etc. need to get holiday out of the way so I can demolish this debt and stop feeling so damn upset about it!
However I am keeping my fingers crossed for good luck the next few weeks. Oh has spotted a job that would be perfect won't necessarily be more money but as it's next door to my work it means we can get rid of the second car and save pennies that way0 -

Sorry all, I've not been logging in much - too hot at the moment, I've been avoiding turning the laptop on. I've run out of money again, and need to spend my afternoon figuring out where it's gone again. I think I need to start a spends diary soon...parsniphead wrote: »#49 logging in for the first time in months. I have been away for some time sulking mainly which I'm ashamed of.
The last time I logged in I had very little to pay off and could see the light at the end of the tunnel. THEN I had a review with the DMP folks and got revised final figures. Two of them have added a large amounts of interest which I had been led to believe had been frozen.
So this left me with a large debt again and a real dip in my mood ( a complete understatement). I still have the mood dip but know the one place where I can focus again is on this thread. So if you will have me back I would love to come back and kick the backside of this debt ONCE AND FOR ALL.
So my revised current outstanding debt is #49 £4032
I'm going to start again if that is ok so currently stand at 0/4032.
Here we go again. But can I do it by the end of 2014.
*bytheway congrats to any babies born while I was missing in action. I remember there were a few brewing*
Oh dear, that's a little bit mean of them! I was also under the impression that interest was meant to be frozen on a DMP... I know one bank refused to do it for my Mum too, hopefully not the same one for you!About 4 or 5 months left but might ask to go back inAugust when the money runs outAlternatively am extremely close to thinking about a DMP but then think we should have just done that in 2011.
Sigh.
Are your older kids at school at all? It could always be worth going back when the schools go back. Is there anyone you could speak to about a DMP? They might be able to help.0 -
OK, on reviewing my bank account, I forgot that the reason I'm skint this month is because I've paid off my overspend last month... I should think I'm now sitting with £30 in my bank account to last to the end of this month, plus £20 cash in my purse.
This could be interesting... But I'm up for the challenge!0 -
well todays been the fathers day from hell!
Started great - got woken up by a huge love and a kiss from my 4year old and made me happy, was running the projections at church today and that went reasonably, considering i was not prepared in the slightest but hey ho.. thats when things started going seriously wrong... got home to a leak from the bathroom into the kitchen, thought great, were insured at least we wil get a new kitchen out of it... then realised the policy needed renewing in may, fixed the leak now to fix the kitchen
Also had a quote for the leaking roof and thats nearly £400
I really need to get our adverts back on now, without them we will be having to look at sinking and not swimming£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Morning all #199 here.
Payment made so now at 1145.57/3643.57
One of my 0% deals has just expired so saved everything I could and cut back on as much as possible to get this paid off. Now have the rest on two 0% deals so need to try really hard to get it all paid off by then.
Thanks

Some hard times going on here at the moment though. Hope everyone is managing and not feeling too down by problems.
