    Grrrrrrrrrr :mad::mad::mad:

    Someone keyed my car !! First time using the car in a few days cos I am riding to work and I see some scrote has keyed it all down the drivers side. Looks hideous :(

    Soooooo angry !!!

    Luckily it's only a £1k car not a £10k car but the feeling is just the same, I hate people who do this !!

    Me too, I have 5 days to go though. I don't expect to use all the money I am taking, so hopefully I will have a lump sum to pay off when I get home. If i do spend it all, I saved it for that reason, so I won't worry too much about it. What will be will be.
    same here, fingers crossed i can keep it under control :rotfl:

    Thank you for lovely welcome. I got an evening job as well as my main job so saving tips and wages in a jar. Don't get loads of shifts but it helps. Last time I opened the jar there was £1600 in there!

    So I've bought a jar now to start again, putting in it
    Tips
    Wages from second job
    As much as I can save from my regular wage (£50-£100 a month if poss)
    eBay selling

    And I'm going to do the 'do I need it or want it' when going to shops. If I decide against buying it I am going to put that money that I was going to spend in the jar.

    I am basically living off £50 a month after food and petrol which is pretty ok but it means not doing much ha.

    I've managed to get 20% off childcare using work scheme and get a few of my bills down a couple of quid as well. These savings I would have carried on paying if I wasn't in debt so I've decided to put that money in debt jar as well (split between both our jars) because it's in our budget anyway!

    I'm also doing the £2 coin jar, going to buy one this week. Rule is.... No spending £2 coins.

    Anyone got any savvy ideas please let me know! I'm already on Asda value digestives and bulk buying tea bags :)

    Thanks :)

    By jar, do you mean one of those Tiramundi pots? If you use a knife you can emtpy it without breaking. Or they also sell tins for £1 in poundland, when that gets full you just use a tin opener. Much cheaper. I have a tin and stick in whatever money is left in my purse on pay day. I also have a food budget, and whatever money is left in that at the end of the month goes in a different money box.

    :eek::mad: How horrible! This happened to my OH about 3 weeks ago, and I'm afraid to say, cost him £400 to get it fixed. The poor thing, it was that car that he really pushed his budget out for because it was 'perfect'. I don't know why anyone would do that, and just hope Karma catches up with them one day...

    Wohoo! I won £25 on premium bonds this month! I have some birthday and graduation money sitting in a premium bonds account, waiting until I can find something special to spend the money on (was given a condition it couldn't be something frivolous like an iPod, or fleeting, like a holiday).

    I had a hospital appointment today, and was given 3 prescriptions plus several bits that were 'cheaper to just buy'. It felt like a bit of a painful blow to the bank balance... However, I am hoping this will be the last of it.
  • well ive still not hit 10%, getting realy frustrated but have written to the financial ombudsman about my bank royally screwing me over and refusing to credit me nearly £4,600 of direct debits that were paid in duplicate, or the money left my account and never arrived at the recipients account.. Also thrown bank charges in and explained my situation in some serious detail and hope they find in my favour, as bar about £300 it will clear the poison debts and allow me to get on with repaying the biggy CCJ which stands at around £17000!

    Once thats paid, I will probably break down and cry my eyes out , get so drunk celebrating I wont be able to walk, recover from the hangover and set my target on MFW!

    I cant deny that all this is taking its toll on me, but I wont let it beat me!
    £4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

    Spagbol - nice to see you! How much longer do you have on Mat leave?

    About 4 or 5 months left but might ask to go back inAugust when the money runs out :( Alternatively am extremely close to thinking about a DMP but then think we should have just done that in 2011.

    Sigh.
    DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
