    Congratulations argomatt :j :j :j

Thanks guys, going out for a few celebratory drinks and a parmo tonight :p

Then it'll be back to money saving mode, I think my car will need replacing very soon and I really don't want to have to get into debt again, so I will try to build up savings as much as possible!

  • Hi all

Just checking in to say that I am now 26% paid off totally.

Unfortunately my true debt is higher than when I first started the challenge due to me borrowing off cc/paying back, intrest etc... so I know by the end of the year I will show as 110% paid off for example. but for ease I shall keep logging as my original starting debt was and by the end of the year what I actually paid back in bank charges/intrest etc.. soooooooooo

£3.1k down.... only £8,936 to go!!! Eeek!!

    Started again 25th December 2017
    Current tracking - £7,955.84/ £18,282.25 to pay off. (31.12.19)

I am a bit of an Old Timer who has had a bit of a break (over 2 years almost) in that time I have been debt free built up over £5K of debt, paid it off due to redundancy and now have managed to build up £3100 in CC debt. It is all 0% but I would like it gone ASAP.

Would it be possible to join in with an aim to clear the whole £3100 by the end of the year?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yay argomatt. Congratulations. Tell me....how does it feel to be debt free?
For me I think I'll feel like it's the beginning of my journey. Paying off debt feels so much like living in the past and waiting to move forwards.

The payments have gone through now. I was excited to check the online banking for the first time today. Normally I don't look forward to seeing the balances on there!

    Now stands at #038 £4016.44 / £4016.44

Thank you to everyone for your support, and particularly to Minicooper for running the thread, because it has been a great help keeping me motivated to clear the debt!

I will continue to check in to read about how everyone is getting on. Good luck to you all.

Congratulations ARGOMATT hope you have a great night :)

Hi Bublin. It feels good that the debt has gone. After such a long time focused on one goal it's a great feeling once it's achieved. But then it's on to the next challenge... money for a new car or
    Overpay the mortgage?

  • Paid £163 off so cleared Argo card and paid for fridge and freezer fingers crossed that they last a bit. We seem to get a new fridge every week. Still in a mess with my mum wanting me to move and me just wanting to clear my debts. House isn't even at a good place to sell so i'm going to have to say that. Moving Forward hopefully.:j
