I assume its more about the amount of debt compared to income etc. I have never missed a payment or defaulted or anything but mine was 2/5, and now 3/5 :) (and I think it was 3/5 before, but then my credit limit increased and i spent it....)

better news about job, they decided to shortlist tomorrow instead of interview so hope is not lost. :P

This month has been devastating here, quietest month ever and not enough money to pay the advertising for next month meaning next month will be poor to :(

I have managed to mediate thorugh the court service a £50 reduction for the legal fees of our water rates if paid within 14 days, bringing it down to £268.36 to pay rather than £318.36.

We will make the payment in 14 days even if me and my wife have to starve and only feed our DS

Gosh, you sound like you've had a tough month - I hope you have a better month ahead, and don't have to starve yourselves. I'm sure you've been through everything like this already, but you don't have anything surpluss you can eBay? Can you do any paid surveys to bring in a few pounds?

Raggy, I think it's quite a few things. It's the amount of debt and the number of debts (e.g. 10 credit cards vs one loan), it will go up if you close down credit cards you don't need any more, it might go down if you apply for lots of new credit cards. You might have a poor credit rating if you have no debts what-so-ever though, because they don't know how reliable you will be at paying things back.

It's really nice you're staying so positive! Well I hope things pick up. Two bank holidays next month, people will be itching to spend some cash!

Ahhh bank holidays are the worst for me - last weekend we averaged £40 per day top line (~5-20% of normal)

Yeah, bank holidays can be dangerous. They're usually a little bit too busy for my liking though, so I'll start reminding myself now not to go anywhere! Might arrange a weekend of home baking or something...

    108 here.

Made a car payment made today, so now I'm at £5040.79/£10,000. Over halfway to my target!
