So between interest and some money I ring fenced in my account, I'm now at:
#004 £840/3500=24%
Tantalisingly close to 25%, but I don't have the extra £35 right now. I'm expecting a lot of travel expenses next month, and will pay that on top of my usual monthly amount, which will put me back on target to reach my goal by Christmas0 -
Minicooper I have 3 days left to payday and I am feeling a bit like you too. Definitely too much month and not enough moneyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Hi all,
Well our fence is fixed, but it cost £1600 in the end :eek:
As a result, I've gone backwards on my totals this month. Its not the end of the world as everything is on 0% cards. It just means that I might not make debt free by Xmas - more like Feb 15.:o
I'm aiming for under £10K in May....
Number 54 £3715.78/14420.00 25.77%

Hello everyone, I would really like to join your challenge. We brought our own house and had LOTS of surprises to pay for, then went on holiday over Christmas. The long and short of it was a large credit card bill! We balance transferred the money over to a Barclays 0% card at the beginning of this year. Now I'm trying to get it paid off.
It would be amazing if I could clear it by Christmas. One of my friends thinks it's not very likely as it's too much BUT I love a good challenge!!
I have already been keeping track of my payments on my siggys, but I'd like to really challenge myself by trying to clear it by Christmas 2014.
Debt at the beginning of January 2014 £5426.67  current debt is £3364 so I have paid off £2062.67 so far.
In case you need/want to know. Here is how much I have paid off each month.
Feb - £1233.31
Mar - £713.36
Apr - £116
I will try and pop on here to keep myself motivated! I start University in September (part time). So I will have a drop in wages but my mum is helping to cover the difference. :A However, there will still be extra expenses like train fares etc. There is also still so much 'urgent' stuff to do and pay for in the house, plus my DH wants to get a new car!!
I have a feeling you guys will really help to keep me focused towards my goal!
One question, how do you show your debt figures in your siggys. I have never been able to work out if people show the full figure and then how much they've paid off, or how much there is still to pay?Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Hi again
,
Transfer now made and the balance stands at:
#038 £3557.48 / £4016.44
I am pleased to have met my target of having more than half the debt gone before the end of April. Next target is to have it all gone by the end of May. It will be hard work but hopefully can get somewhere close.
Just updating the spreadsheet - mammoth payment! You're now just shy of 89%! :T0 -

Hi mossy! You're number 191Good luck with the challenge, and well done for everything paid so far!
I go with the total amount paid off - it's to help keep a running total of how much the thread has paid off as a whole, but it's also easier for showing you how much you've paid off as a percentage (e.g. you've already paid 38.01% :T)0 -
i am feeling worried tonight, ihave another house inspection on friday and as you probably remember the last one didnt go very well. as we're now on a running tenancy, if they don't like it they can give us notice as we have no fixed term period.
i'm quite scared... even though i;m sure it'll be fine.

Thanks minicooper, I will change my siggy so that it shows how much I've paid off.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
amr I'm sure it will be fine - they're not likely to throw you out unless you've got holes in the walls! If they end your contract, they know they might not get new tennants for a few months, and they won't risk going without the rent money!0
