A few newbies tonight! Welcome to you all
GunWharf - you're number 174
Just let me know how much you want to pay off!
Timetochange89 - you're number 175
Ruln - you're number 176! Good luck
amr - I wouldn't push yourself too much to pay off the outstanding, it'll only save you a couple of months. The interest on the will be pennies too. Enjoy your new straighteners, I think you can justify buying something like that, especially on offer!
Mat_Lock congratulations on the bonus - very jealous over here! And I think that more than justifies a few new t-shirts too
I thought I got paid next Friday, but realised today it's actually a week Monday. I know it's only a weekend of difference, but that was really depressing, as I'm already having to contemplate digging the emergency credit card out for train tickets! I don't want to have to dig it out to be able to pay for food too

yes, we are going to wait with the OU fees as it ends in June anyway, and going to focus on the other two - sofas and car! they make up the bulk of what i owe - about £4k or something...0 -
Hello everyone
Long time no "see" (or so it feels). Pleased to report my new job is going well so far and everyone is being nice to me. Really struggling on the changeover from weekly to monthly pay, i can't wait for the end of the month to come.
We've also put our house on the market as we've put a deposit down on a new build that's about to be built. Slightly stressing over the costs of selling/buying/generally moving house. I really want to enjoy being debt free even if it is only fleetingly over the summer before we up-sticks.
Anyway update from me:
#002 £1015/£3500 29% - Yay cleared a grand
:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

How exciting! Is this your first house? Glad the new job is going well!0 -
Ok - sorry to have a third post in quick succession, but I just spotted something exciting on my spreadsheet to share: as a group, we have now paid off just over 15% of our total debt target!
Well done guys and gals :T:T0 -

oh that is exciting!!!! :beer:0 -
woo what a milestone!
It'll be our 2nd house minicooper. We're fortunate to live in an area with reasonable house prices, where it's cheaper to buy than rent. We bought our current house when i was 21 and it is diddy. It was perfect for us as it was affordable, cheap to run etc - an ideal FTB home. We've just outgrown it now i think, i want to start thinking about kids in 2015 so a bigger house makes sense - plus this new house is a 5 min walk from where i grew up (and where my parents still live) so it already feels a bit like home.
Sorry for the massive house ramble!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

our goal next year is a house, but got to tackle the debt first! once its gone it should be plain sailing...ish... unfortunately i don't think we would ever earn enough for a new build!!!! so expensive, even with HTB we wouldn't get a big enough mortgage for a house - a flat maybe!0

Paid of £101 today.
Still not getting the instant e mails Mini -Cooper. I've fiddled with everything I press instant and it lasts for about a week and then I don't get them anymore and I'm feeling so so left out. Talking and seeing how well everyone was doing really helped me last time. now I have to keep logging on and it's making it so much harder. So if anyone has any ideas how to fix this please. Still no job but I managed to pick up some teaching English this week which is fab.Debt Free by 2016
