  • no nanamia.. still not decided.. i keep getting lost on ravelry and filling my todo list up LOl i'm home tomorrow morning on my own so after housework shall decide which to start.

Went for a walk this am, i really should avoid shops when i exercise! 4 miles later and more money spent doh lol anyway popped in to get the dog food i forgot yesterday in wilkos and grabbed a few more of the xmas bits. Then went up to clintons omg what a palava that was... 20 mins trying to tell the two staff that was on how to work out 75% off of something (as said on their shelf) in the end i put the question into google and they still didn't believe it and was going to go to the shop over the way to ask them :S seriously! if you can't do basic maths maybe you shouldn't be working in retail let alone be left alone in a shop grrrr...... anyway! i got my bil a boffle tankard/sock and bottle opener set down to £5 from £20, another me to you bear for my dd3 and a singing penguin for either my sister or dd4 £20 down to £2.

Then had a wonder around iceland and grabbed some bits for tea.. they have their xmas chocs reduced but we have so much choc here it seemed pointless lol. Then went into bhs and wasn't tempted either.. Came home and just placed an order on the yankee candle site who have up to 75% off some of their accessories (i've got a free del code but don't think i can put it on here?) http://www.yankeecandle.co.uk/en/uk/sale/accessories/icat/saleacc?sort=price&parentCategoryRef=saleacc&order=asc&categoryPathRefs=shop&perpage=36&q=*

Msgigglewick when i tell myself not to go shopping and spend money I end up doing it online lol! Today is a dont touch the bank account day as I paid of my phone bill and minimum payment on my catalog!

Mrsmoneypenny - I agree just because we all know some one else out there is going through harder times or more heartbreak doesnt make us deal with a problem easier or anything , I do think of others and it does put a lot in prescriptive but at the same time if I feel sad so can a million others but it wont always decrease my sadness again I dont mean that to sound selfish! x

Havent smoked yet today so hopefully at midnight i can claim i have done a whole day as a non smoker! x woop

    Reen73 & kaymumof3 - thanks :) sounds like I need another trip to wilkos! :D

nicki - Does she have a camera? You can get very good quality compacts pretty cheap now, or if your willing to pay a little more, drop proof/water proof magical ones lol!
I'm currently watching a trailer load of SLR, and bridge camera's on ebay with plans for lil sis birthday she's 18 this year, so if I can get one cheap enough..... might stop her stealing mine! (which I unfortunately paid full price for..ouch).

I was in Tesco's today, a different one to my usual, usual has no christmas stuff left (or hardly any) one I was in today LOADS! I bought two Nip + Fab sets rrp £11 something, I got them for £1.87 each :o!! Gone up for next Christmas :) might sneak back and get one of the anti wrinkle ones for my mum (rrp £16 - £2 something) She will murder me though...lol

Also got a few bits in Accessorize, their headphones are all 70% off so got some owl ones to go up for me for birthday or Christmas, and a necklace my sister has been searching for, not sure if she's having it now or I'm hiding it yet though...
    x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Went to town this afternoon. Got a singing Snowman and a singing Penguin in Clinton's £40 down to £4. Got a metal Christmas sign for £1.20 down from £12.
( I actually can't stand singing teddies but Robbie likes) what a good Mima I am :D

Then into Wilkos and got 3 rolls of paper for £1.50. Two of them are plain and can be used as birthday paper.

Was having a nice time until I bumped into one of my mothers friends. She said it was cruel of us not to speak to her and maybe it had all been a mistake. And that life is to short not to speak to your mother. Well after the incident on NYD I can see no mistake. I told she was talking carp about stuff she knew nothing about and her opinion meant F*** All to me. And that my life was to short to stand listening to the b***ocks coming out of her mouth.
  • Eh you lot can't half talk. ;) Taken me ages to catch up with you all.

Can't remember what I was going to say, but I know some of you may need an extra hug so I'm sending some your way.

Nanamia - hope DH is fully recovered now. Love the sweetie tree - they're my favourites btw ;)

jj - hope things work out well for you. :happyhear

msgigglewick - thanks for leading me into temptation - well onto the Yankee Candle site anyway. Off to look for free del code now. :D

Picked up a couple of xmas/birthday gift bags/boxes yesterday at John Lewis (reduced of course) :D. In Clinton I bought Simon's Cat Calendar 75% off, some of the 3 for a £1 funny xmas cards (thanks Ruth ?) and a box of xmas cards had been £4 down 75% and the assistant struggled to work out the price after discount even with the help of a calculator.

Anyone after a ceramic frying pan - Mr M's have them in at quite a good price. Hubby has just picked one up this afternoon - large pan 28cm I think for just under £15. Pleased I didn't buy one for him at xmas as I was looking at £30.

Well back to Yankee Candles now.

    Take care everyone

Not that I'm encouraging those who already have a Yankee addiction, but the codes are here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4836709

ETA: OMO, maybe your mum's friend was just trying to be well-meaning, but if she's never had any similar problems with her own mum then there's no way she could ever understand :(

OMO you dont pull any punches do you, In fairness to her friend shes only had your mums version of events but you needed to get it off your chest and well done on not crumbling. I expect you'll hear from mommy dearest once her friends had words with her. well done on all your shopping bargains i really want a mooch round wilkinson but its too far to walk, might see if DH can be persuaded at the weekend.

might take a walk down our T's if the rain stops tomorrow (yes its back)

JJ well done on your 1st day as a non smoker:T

No I can honestly say, that I say it like it is or I say nothing.

The woman was just so condescending I couldn't help myself.
She's not a lot older than me, but thinks she knows everything and she should be listened to.
If my mother has a brain cell left she will not contact us. Other stuff has happened since the £10 incident and the police got involved. She has been told not to contact us.

On the subject of speaking my mind, I'm quite well known for it. My best friend never asked me if her bum looks big in anything because she knows I will tell her the truth and she would rather not know. :rotfl:

Eta I do only do it with people I know well. I don't tell strangers their bum looks big !
