Nan- I love being your festive princess and granddaughter its just fab! If you want to and you pm me your address I can even be your penpal! I am in the wrong generation really for recieving letters I grew up only knowing , emails call and texts lol!
Ok he is my age , he is called Matt the last date we went on was a lovely meal followed by a walk in pouring rain (he held my hand) then we went to pick up some drinks and I took him to meet my cousin and her other half we then had drinks and laughs (he paid) He then grabbed my hands and cuddled me and asked if I could be his girlfriend! That was date 5! I agreed and this weekend we are staying in a hotel , going for a meal meeting more family! Eeeek!

JJ lovely lovely, makes me feel all warm and wobbly inside, enjoy the hotel, and everything, lord knows you deserve it.
OMO dead right, my bum does look big, (cos it is) but it is all behind me now, so who cares! You were right to tell this person who is your mums friend to butt out, and I love your way with words.
Nanamia, hope the treatment works for DH, and his health improves with it. Yes it is good to concentrate on the positives your family gain by being across the world from you, it is the only way to get through it.
Caitlyn, sod the girl, your team are right, there will always be injustice in the workplace, but soon, her boss will get the message about her, from others and from his /her own evidence.
Freespirit, you are doing so well, with the challenges, keep it up.
Invis house is gradually recovering from Christmas, but I'm keeping the throws out, they are snuggly at night, and keep the spirit alive. I haven't visited the sales this year, but may look into Wilks later today, just to lo-o-o-o-o-ok. Managed to get through to the insurers 2 days ago and was told that someone would phone within 24 hours to visit and assess, but so far, silence. Might give them another day as they are bound to be busy, but, not too long.
I am feeling drained and sleepy at the moment, so not a lot is being achieved here, hope it passes soon, I need a kick up the (big) bum!

:rotfl: my Dads always saying ' You have a way with words :rotfl:'

I just can't be bothered with skirting round a subject. To be honest I tried but most people aren't to good with hints.

Hanley glad you got the outfit sorted. :D

    Off to work now :(

Now that I am caught up and have read all your news I feel so silly and very selfish having a tantrum cos I couldn't get through to DS yesterday. Please forgive me :(

Blooming Tasty huge huge hugs to you all. And apologies for wittering on about silly insignificant grumbles

Never apologise, we all have our problems and they're important to each of us :) if I'd have been waiting for someone to get in touch I'd have been upset to xx
  • morning.... housework done, healthy breakfast of peaches and yogurt consumed (need to lose the xmas weight!) and i think i've decided to start on making the two female xmas hats... just need to look through my stash to pick colours.. the pattern i've decided todo is one with a liner (you knit that too) so do i do contrasting colours, blending colours or the same colour lol decisions!

I'm avoiding tescos today.. i know they have started to heavily knock down their xmas bits but i've decided i don't need them so not rushing there today (might look see tomorrow if they have knocked the smelly sets down though as those make good emergency gift pressies)
