And cords will get much more use... if you wanted something smarter have you considered looking at chinos? less likely to be black or grey but casual enough to worn at other times yet still smart :) (Asda ones start at £7,
Is it weird that I actually looked into it that much :S ? lol )

Not wierd at all, I spent a good few minutes earlier researching Knight costumes for someone lol. Helpful folks on here :T.
Thought about chinos but I really struggle with DS and trousers. They all literally fall down cos he's so skinny. He's approaching 3 and most 12-18 month pants are too big in the waist. The ones I've chosen have buttons inside to make them smaller.
Thanks everyone. I've ordered the blue cords in 18-24 months and 2-3 years to try both. 18-24 is my best bet. Hopefully they adjust small enough.
I never struggle with pants falling down.... only struggle fastening them up lol:rotfl:

Now that I am caught up and have read all your news I feel so silly and very selfish having a tantrum cos I couldn't get through to DS yesterday. Please forgive me :(

Boy oh boy you've been a busy lot :) keep it up cos I love it. We've been "grounded" for days and days and days (ok I'm exaggerating slightly) DH has had to stay close to the loo (too much info) so we've not been out, I've missed all the sales goodies ( I've picked a few bits up online but it's not quite the same is it.

Pixtotts it's not in the slightest bit weird! I think it's wonderful :) xxx
Linky my lovely! can't believe you've trawled through all the links. You really do spoil us :) Have you let Robbie out of that box yet? I hope the weather has improved for Mia's walk tonight xxx
Pigpen its meh isn't it, taking the decs down, bare and horrid. I've left a set of lights out and I'm going to reintroduce them to the kitchen when DH isn't looking. He said I was crazy keeping them up, I said it's ok for Nigella and he replied - well I actually couldn't repeat his reply on a public forum without fear of a court case. I hope you've been in less pain today and your DH has been as helpful xxx
Mrsinvisible I'm sending "no renewal but fab, fab, fab job opportunity in the UK" vibes to DSs employer I really hope they catch them. I've filled my freezer with soups too this week and have on my to-do-list to organise finances oh what exciting lives we lead :) Hope the DGCs trauma has eased, it's so very hard xxx
Nic blooming typical! but as the lovelies have said- if it's meant to be, or there is the perfect opportunity wait just around the corner where you will be appreciated for your true worth :) Hope it works out xxx
his missus I think of you often. Hope your Dad is comfortable and your DM finds the strength to care for him at home. Sending lots and lots of love xxx
Fevertotell well I hope you managed to blow those germs far away. Wow well done on the weight loss my lovely but please remember to be kind to yourself and not start rushing things too soon xxx
Mrs M I do love reading your posts :) You did do well in boots. Yes it's true Christmas was wonderful whilst it lasted, I'd like to see a scientific investigation though I'm sure 25th Dec. - 6th Jan is the shortest 12 days ever :( Your DDs present wrapping sounds very effective, she must get her crafty eye from you xxx
Ploddingalong I do hope you don't have to wait the full 16 weeks and they manage to get you out of pain before then. Bless you xxx
Reen . Aaaaw your LO. I know exactly how he felt :( it is so sad. X
Gettingtherequickly hiya we've missed you! I think sometimes you've just got to jump in, a catch up may be impossible :) xxx
Ruth well done :) I hope you enjoy it. I will keep you posted on the book, must say I'm enjoying it up to now. I really do enjoy her style of easy reading at the moment, has to be a light read for me when my concentration is low. Agh nightmare at sainsbobs, so frustrating. I am glad you've finally decided to treat yourself to that corset :) xxx
Lushlifesaver yum well done on the mincemeat, I'm a little jealous as we've not ventured out yet X
Peppapig snap! my DH also long term health problems has been snoozing on the sofa on and off for days. Least he's quiet :) xxx
BBTHREE OMG lady. Please look after yourself better. We do not want a repeat of last year do we. How'd it go today? Did they manage to do a biopsy? Thinking of you xxx
Cupofchai exactly how far are you from Manchester? I could really do with your decluttering skills :) xxx
Festive Princess I've deliberated whether it was appropriate to still call you festive JJ but I reckon you can be my Festive Princess all year. And go you you dark horse share. I need to know all about your admirer, (obviously I know how lucky he is already) come on, no secrets from your Nan. I hope you had a great evening xxx
Fluffysox I too was going to suggest writing to the drs to complain about the number! I'm glad patient pressure worked in your case. I do agree with the lovelies on outfit two, it's so much harder for boys isn't it xxx
Chrissy aw my lovely, bless you. Injections and vomit yuktastic. Let's hope they work and keep your blood sugars down xxx
Msgigglewick hiya :) did you decide which knitting project to start? xxx
Arthein well done in sainsbobs! you had a better time in there than Ruth xxx
Feisty hello my lovely! how is DH doing? I'm not sure if I. Mentioned country baskets for brown paper, or even if they have branches near you but they are worth a google xxx
Blooming Tasty huge huge hugs to you all. And apologies for wittering on about silly insignificant grumbles xxx
Betsie I hope tomorrow works out much better for you xxx
Marco I truly am excited about your house :) I can't wait, love that we are in on it from the very start it'll be like grand designs only better. I'm off to google the beach you mentioned now, to set the scene. I'm sure it's doing to be a testing time but we'll all be here to listen if you need to rant. And I've never ceasedto be amazed at the amount of knowledge the lovelies have :) xxx
Freespirit aww bless you my sis from another mister. I did wonder how you were managing to fit everything in with the CBT tasks too DS is so right. You are not letting anybody down. You are inspirational. Did you get the bread made today? I've purposely steered well clear of bread making because I would very easily become obsessed with it ha. You know what I'm like. Big hugs, chat soon. xxx
Off to find the picture of the sweetie tree I made for DGodson and his partner to cheer Ruth up Will be back xxx

I put the last bit of Christmas away today, the cake decorations. Well there is a small set of 3 glass decorations out but that's because I've broken one of them so need to figure out how to fix it :o The house looks so bare, and big.

I've finished all my goodies off except for a rather cute bird filled with mallows that I just can't bring myself to open, but I did open my malteser hot chocolate tonight that DD got me and it was lovely :o Thank goodness its individual sachets though as once its gone that's it, if it was a jar it would last so much longer and wouldn't be good for my weightloss plans :rotfl::rotfl:

Trying to think of something to get DD for her birthday but I'm stuck. The t-shirts I was going to buy her she got for Christmas from her soon-to-be-stepmum :rotfl::rotfl: I just had to laugh when she showed me, DD didn't understand until I explained that I actually had those exact items sitting in my @mazon basket ready to check out next time I cashed in a voucher from a survey site due to how much they are individually :rotfl::rotfl: There's another in the 'set' I can get her, but its her 13th so I'd like to get her something a bit more, I don't know. :o She has a kindle, a mobile (I am NOT upgrading her to any form of 'smartphone', not with her history of breaking them), a MP3, a laptop, a TV for her room and the DVD player goes up with it, her ears are pierced, a DS which she hardly uses now, a wii which again she hardly uses, and books and DVDs coming out of her ears. :( I've got until the end of March to sort it (her birthday is very early April), and then Easter weekend she's going away with ex & his family to a his-family friends big birthday celebrations over in Ireland for most of the weekend (at least she is atm, I can't say for sure until closer to the time). Last April it was a trip to Disneyland Paris (once in a life-time style triup paid for by ex's mum from her inheritance, and it was his parents, his siblings and their families), and then Paris again in the summer with school. Oh and thats when Ex bought her the laptop through work.

I was going to do a 'family party' for her where both sides of the family would be invited down to celebrate her birthday for the first time since maybe 2005ish, but I have a terrible feeling that would blow up in my face. :( Not sure I could fit them all in the house either :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh well, I'll have to have a think, I'll have to add that to my to-do list. :(

NAN - We have done 5 dates and he met my cousin today which was a big step! Growing up with my mum and dads marriage put me off men and relationships but he is ever so sweet and kind. x x

I wish she would appreciate a girls night in gift! She's a tomboy and rarely has friends round (Christmas was the first time since 2006 she's had someone round who wasn't a cousin!). I'll pass the wii game she's asked for on to her dad to get her, and she's got the majority of the DVDs she wants, the very short list will be passed on to family to get her if they ask. She has asked for Charmed on DVD, but the cheapest I can find the complete season 1-8 for is £50 (pre-owned) so that would be the entire budget blown on one gift, buying them individually is just as expensive :( Might just get her an @mazon voucher she can spend it on whatever she likes.

I still 'owe' her £30 for Christmas which was an IOU a clothes shopping trip simply because after a recent growth spurt she's outgrown everything she had in her wardrobe except for what she was bought at Christmas and her socks! Fortunately she's received £40 in vouchers for New L00k so I'll take her there and just top it up. But she's not into clothes, shoes, make-up (but she is starting to experiment so my mum got her bits for Christmas through me as I'm an Av0n rep ;)). She's just getting more and more awkward to buy for and she's never been the easiest as it is :rotfl::rotfl:

    morning all
    hope everyone is well
skies are actually blue here so going to try and get more washing dry - im going for overnight use of washing machine at the mo in an attempt to cut fuel costs, only had the wm a year and realise its got a time delay on it so i can set it before i go bed make most of cheaper night rate leccy.
ive also stopped listening to the radio through the tv and using the puter instead - seems silly having both on.

fluffysox, i agree with most that you should go with the outfit that will be worn again after the christening
kaymumof3 hope you find some nice bargains on your shopping trip today
nanamia, love the choccy tree. re yesterday grumbles never apologize, while we all have sympathy and understanding for things that happen to others ie our virtual friends on here or even real life friends things that directly affect us in our own lives whether big or small at the time seem terrible even the most trivial thing can be upsetting yes when you look at the bigger picture there are far worse things happening to other people in the world (just look at the terrible weather in the states and the floods in parts of our own country) yet i complained i couldnt get my washing done:o
but it doesnt take away from the fact you WERE upset that you couldnt get to talk to the person you needed to at the time.
our own problems are the ones we have to deal with so its understandable that they affect us more.
I do hope that doesnt come across that i dont care about anyone elses problems or think mine are worse im just seeing it from a personal perspective.:o and totally understanding where you were coming from yesterday.

anyway off to hang the washing out, weve got tons of seagulls out today, so im guessing they've all moved inland to escape the bad weather.

hugs and good wishes to all and i do hope your day brings a smile at some point:)

Just had a great spree at Wilkinsons - got 4 large pillar candles for 50p each, antique look christmas lights reduced from £12.50 to £2.50, some bell LED lights reduced to £1.00, so pleased because needed some new christmas lights. They had loads of christmas stuff at dirt cheap prices would have bought more but couldn't afford it!
Determined to be money neutral this year

Nanamia - ages away I'm afraid, I'm in Essex! I like your sweetie tree, it looks really nice.

Reen - Jealous of your bargains there!

I tried to buy some things online in the Boots sale, but couldn't find something I wanted/would use to make up the cost to be enough for free delivery to store, so then I got in a rage and closed the page without buying anything! Oh well, I have ideas for the gift idea notebook anyway (which I still haven't actually started, bad me).
