Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
    Congratulations pinksteps!!! :D

Wilko are selling some snowflake patterned bags 5 for £1. I've put my homemade peppermint bark in them!

Made MIL an Irish coffee set. She was wanting me to make a christmas pudding for her this year, but with the amount of christmas cakes I've had to make I said no, and I've done this instead.

Sainsburys are currently selling their cafe style glass mugs 33% off (I think). So I got a stylish hot chocolate/irish coffee mug for £2.33. I've put a Bailey's miniature in it, along with various chocolate coins, balls and santas that I had. Finished it off with a small jar of Irish cream flavoured instant coffee - cost me about £6 in all to do this :)

    pinksteps Congratulations to all
lulu thank you, I may have to pick some up for the fudge I am making. Irish Coffee set sounds fab!

I sorted all our Xmas cards out last night in to piles, need to get a couple of address and then they are ready for going out next week to arrive for the 1st December :j
Tonight's plan is to go through all the presents (time allowing) and ensure they are all bagged up and in the big cardboard box ready to be wrapped this week...I can wait no longer :santa2::xmassign:

Pinksteps - huge congratulations, lovely news!!!!!! :T Have you had your first cuddle yet? Have they decided on a name? What did she weigh? I need details lol.

    Jobo88 - hope you have/had a nice birthday.

Lulu that Irish coffee idea sounds lovely - and a good idea for my Bailey's loving sister! No good for me cos I don't like Baileys or coffee :D.

Newthrift you've inspired me to go through my card list today. I thought I had cards left from last year but it turns out I didn't and last year I used up the ones from the year before! I bought my 'specials' a couple of weeks ago but need to sort out how many general cards I need so I can save up for the postage :( Am gonna try and hand deliver as many as I can when we go to visit family in December.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Congrats Pink!

Sent a text to JJ this morning, no reply yet. Bolt was still in yesterday, so I have decided it is to be called Fred!

Just trying to trundle on with everything at mo, hopefully will get another cake made tonight.

peppa - I had a similar thing, I ended up buying quite a few fresh but got Studio24 a couple of months back and they were a good price, would do that again! Postage isn't cheap, i'm glad I can deliver most by hand (or through my parents :p ) and I only need 10 stamps which MIL gave me bless her :o Try grouping same family ones in one envelope maybe? The would be one large stamp rather than multi should be cheaper!

Not Christmas related but, I have been meaning to sort out my bank accounts/savings ect for a bit and keep looking and I knew which ones I wanted to open to make my money work for me and today I have finally opened the TSB plus account (as this suits me best on the highest paying current accounts) and i'm going to be good and move it when the interest drops! Next job - sort my ISA! :T
