Hello everyone!
Well, I did see JJ today. Had fun and games at reception when I was trying to find out where she was. Gave her name, he phoned through to someone and asked. Asked the spelling of her name several times. Did I know her date of birth? Um, no...sorry. Eventually he gave me the phone and I spoke to someone, explaining again all I knew. First off he was asking how long 'he'd' been in there for. Um...not JEFF! JESS!!! Maybe short for Jessica. Anyway, no trace of her on their system. "Right", I sigh and hope that she can get a signal in the ward and hears her phone. Luckily she did and I found her and we had a good natter for a couple of hours. Can you believe that she only saw Dirty Dancing for the first time yesterday! Have told her she has to watch it until she knows all the words to the songs now. Wanted to spring her out for an hour and take her to Regent St to see the Christmas lights being switched on, but I think her machine would start beeping if she's unplugged for too long. Doesn't stop her sneaking out for a smoke, though...naughty girl!
It was really nice to meet her and hopefully she'll be home soon so she can come and catch up with all the gossip in here. I've told her you all send your love!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Just popped in for a quick read.
Feisty - love the updated avatarand well done on your achievement. I've failed miserably this year with the economy side of Christmas. I think the trouble is I start so early that I end up buying twice as much as I plan to buy. Def gonna stick to the £10 per person limit next year - it was actually more fun trying to find good pressies for a limited amount.
Ruth-honey, that's great news - so glad you managed to locate her and have a good chat. Does make you wonder how in this day of computerised records they can still 'lose' someone!
Kat - that sounds amazing, would def like to see pics. Must be a mammoth job taking it all down after Christmas
Freespirit, I feel your pain, it's so annoying when that happens. Mind you, you managed to say all that was really needed in a couple of lines lol :rotfl:It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Well Chatsworth christmas market was lovely as always on Thursday, the house was nice too, dressed as Alice in Wonderland. Not quite as spectacular as last year but still fab!! I brought a few bits and bobs from the market and also a lovely wooden reindeer that 'looks' up the chimney. It's been a busy weekend so I was catching up as and when I could.
Christmas stamps purchased ready for the few I do have to post
Tonight I have some ironing and bits to do, but will arrange Christmas cards in to the piles of delivering (family/work/hand deliver/post ect ect..) Going to begin wrapping from this week :j I can wait no longer :rotfl:

Lovely to read about those of you who are able to visit JJ, I'm sure its really helping keep her spirits up xx
So Im being booked in for a fasting blood test, showing signs of diabetes grrrr! I had put my constant tiredness & headaches of the past few months down to a combination of work & approaching 40! But dh commented how often I was using the loo, so got into docs this morn to put his mind at rest, didn't actually expect anything other than "its a virus". Oh well, shall await my appointment and go from there. My maternal gm and paternal gf both had diabetes so I guess it shouldn't be a shock if I do have it.
We are on countdown in the fluffy household, 5 more weeks and then we all have a full 2 weeks off together! We can do this! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Morning all!
Well I got my pickles done on sat eve, spent about 3 hours doing them! Think I went a bit overboard on the onion buying front *blush* Still, you def cant have too many!
Im hoping to finally finish the wrapping today, if I can be bothered. Ive got a headache and Im not feeling so great so really hope Im not coming down with anything... I remember one Christmas a few years back dh and I had the flu, it was awful! Couldn't eat or drink and had to take in turns watching the kids whilst the other went to bed for a rest!
Have a good day all xGo big or go home!0
