    Hiya,
DS is still awaiting ops, he can only walk about 50yards before he's in a lot of pain. Hospital waiting lists seem to be forever, his hospital is the same as JJs local and I think they need to buck up a bit.
As for Ted, she's bigger and bouncier than ever, she was such a cute little puppy, I thought she would start calming down by now.
Sounds like you're busy busy busy there, have fun

She is pleased its up but I have to adjust it as my oh wound the lights too much so they only go half way down !lol

She asked me on Thursday how I was feeling and I said I felt like I had been hit by a car she was a little confused and said but you do know you were don't you !

It sounds like you are cracking on with your diy.

And is the car going to survive the ordeal?

Told DS if we can get the floor sorted then the "tree" will go up

Welcome to the thread Graduate. I too have seen the mini candy canes in B&M but can't say if they were individually wrapped or not. I did buy a pack a few weeks ago but now can't find them - hopefully they'll turn up when I go through the Christmas decs next week.

Gettingtherequickly, thank you so much for the updates on JJ. I bet she woke up the minute you left but can well understand your dilemma about waking her up. Lovely of you to have taken some bits in - hope she knows we're all thinking of her.

Nana, lovely to hear from you and really glad you're having a fab time in Oz and they're keeping you so busy.

Feisty - thank you for signing the petition and for sharing on FB. What a pain the Goldsmiths vouchers have turned out to be - it's horrible when you don't feel happy with something you've bought. Sorry to hear that DH isn't doing too well at the moment, hope it's a blip and he'll soon be feeling a bit better - hope you manage not to let it get you down too much.

Had a lovely day with honorary DD, DSIL and DGD - out to lunch too, now relaxing in preparation to arrival of DS and family tomorrow. Also trying to sort out pre-Christmas lunch with DDs - it's like herding cats but hopefully we'll sort it before everywhere is booked up :D Happy weekend one and all.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

I've had plastic snow globes from Boots recently. They have a space to pop your own photo in.

I had some gorgeous festive bedding from Ponden Mill (website gives store locations but no online shop). Again, it's more a fairisle design, so can be used from now until jan/February. It's brushed cotton, so lovely and warm too. Mine is red and white.

Sorry to quote my own post, but thought I'd mention that I saw these photo snow globes in the 99p shop yesterday. They also had photo baubles.

I'll text JJ again first thing tomorrow and if she's up for a visit, I'll go and say hello.
Hubby's birthday today, so went out for a nice meal at a restaurant nearby that was recommended by one of our neighbours. Very nice it was too! I very rarely eat duck, but they had a special on which was duck breast with a cranberry and sherry sauce. Sounded tasty, so I had that and really enjoyed it.
Had an email yesterday from my cousin asking if she can come and visit at Christmas. Somehow that has now become Christmas lunch and going home Boxing Day afternoon. Will need to find another Christmas plate as we only have three and her fiance will be coming too. They won't match, but at least we'll all be festive! Pleased we've now got a fold up sturdy table as we can't really have people over for Christmas lunch and eat from trays! Lol!

Hopefully its just the dent and scrapes to deal with , I would be gutted if its anything more serious as its a very reliable car. The assessor is coming tomorrow so hoping things will move along quickly. The courtesy car is a 14 plate corsa its like driving a dodgem!
