  • Well, nipped up to see Jess, who was sleeping so peacefully I didn't wake her! Decided she would be much better sleeping than looking at my ugly mug. Left her a note and some bits which will hopefully help with a tiny bit of pampering in there. Got a txt message from her when I got home saying i should have woken her, she is one very determined young lady.

  • Hope JJ is feeling a little better after some rest.

Sorry, I'm on tablet so multiquote isn't working, so I apologize for not remembering who posted what but:

B&M had mini candy canes in today 79p

Sorry to hear about the roof/ceiling fiasco - our dining room roofcame through on our wedding day! Right above the table we had sat eating breakfast that morning, not the best end to our special day :-(

The homemade decs ideas are fab, I'm on a self inflicted pinterest ban until I finish my current projects!

Nothing much to report, a busy weekend working/running around dropping dh & kids at various activities, and back out at 8am tomorrow to take dd1 to her DofE walk at Sherwood pines, they say there's no rest for the wicked - I must have been snow whites evil step mother in a past life!

Looking forward to getting kids into bed so I can crack on with some wrapping, and maybe a small glass of wine, whilst watching Xmas 24!

Have a lovely weekend all xx

G'day Christmas elves, it's so weird being over here reading all your festive prep. The stores have their trees and decorations up but no festive music or buzz. It really is bizarre! Sending lots of love to JJ and thanks SFAM that dream was magic. Little Max looks adorable and well done DD for talking and letting her emotions out It is daunting when baby comes and your world turns upside down isn't it.
It seems as tho I've not as much free time as I'd imagined so I'm diving back in here without a hope of catching up. Please forgive me but if I wait it may be next year before I do. Welcome to our lots of lovely newbies, I'm excited to follow our Christmas preparations from afar. Loving the makes you creative bunch :) Ruth and Freespirit I'm about half way through Christmas Party, I eagerly awaited it and am finding it okish. Mrs M totally agree with you re Trish Ashley and can recommend the ones you mentioned :) Sending big hugs to you (king pin of the family) and DH and go girl to you DMiL for carrying on doing what she likes to do. One tough cookie I imagine. I read that you now have a grandchild on the way. Congratulations. They are such a blessing.
I've whittered for long enough. Keep up the fantastic work which in turn is keeping me festive. I will be back xxx

I've written my cards and am working on the list for ds, he has 19 kids in his class & wants to add a few teachers so he has some work to do in the next few weeks. I sat & made the snowman soup for this class last week so just need to make tags & we are set.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Oh Chrissy, I love those decs, that's a project to-do next year. I have a huge cone of butchers string in red and white that would look nice.
Next year will defiantly be Our Year!

Have most things done now, although I am wanting to finish removing the paint from floorboards by December so hopefully the few decorations going up will look okay and not like a builders yard

I plan to make them for next year too.

I'm finally getting over my aches and pains but Dd had a seizure and landed on my metal clothes airer she has bruising to her face and body it looks like I've battered her! The airer wasn't so luckily it was terminal lol.

Sadly DH isn't so good at the moment, but we are trying to soldier on! X
