Afternoon everyone
Loads of Christmas prep done over the weekend here, most of it for school, but it means I'm getting some space back lol :T
Watched the Polar Express yesterday with the kiddie winks, all snuggled up in our onesies and hot chocolate. And then me with piles of card surrounding me :rotfl:
Cut out a load of stiff for the kids in work to make in the run up to Christmas. And our EOTS has stolen some of each one from mummy so my own ones can make them too lol.
Mother phoned me in work today to tell me about the Harry Potter and Frozen gift boxed t-shirts to ask about sizes for the nieces. Asked her if they had my Harry Potter jacket in yet and she said no:(
Have the bottoms and the tops to match for my nieces who wanted them for Christmas, but can not for the life of me find a size 12 in these jumpers anywhere now apart from ebay, and I refuse to pay double the price for them:mad:
It disgusts me that people are allowed to sell these on ebay for these silly prices.
Anyhow, the search continues, and if I don't get them then so be it.
Off now to make some dinner and then make a start on making a few other templates for workPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
we watched reindeer games over the weekend this is NOT a kids film!!! it was good - guy out of prison gets forced into robbing a casino on christmas eve while wearing a santa suit. bit violent and rude in places and lots of twists.I 've had a request from dd she wants the Christmas tree up next weekend :j.
apparently DD3s partner said she could put the tree up once the coke ad had been on. they were round ours watching so she has witnesses:T:xmastree:
its beginning to look a lot like christmas (and ive got smooth christmas radio on):)
hope all are wellSPC~12 ot 124

Woohoo caught up!
So this week, bought quite a few toddler toys from a local lady via facebook. New would be approx £100. These are immaculate, and I paid £14. Basically DS2 has just had his first birthday, he plays with big brothers toys too so really don't need anything for him, but I want him to have a similar amount of gifts to DS1 who is 3 1/2 and wants "evryfink" lol.
Fluffysox, my DD is doing and thinking exactly the same!
Freespirit - well done on your airport run - I'm with Mojoworking on the bumper issue lol. It's funny because I never used to worry about anything to do with driving but these days I must admit going new places is really stressful and I've developed a complete phobia about using the 'pay at machine' petrol pumps. I think I give off vibes that make them go wrong and I've now turned into one of those women I used to dislike who have to get someone else to fill the car up for them. I'm the same with the self service machines at the supermarket - I get really wound up with them and their stupid 'unidentified item in the bagging area' :rotfl:
Nitnurse - sorry to hear your day started so badly but great that it turned out so much better. Tis the power of Christmas
I'm loving the JL ad and really glad to see 'Holidays are coming' is back - had got the impression from posts on other sites that it wasn't going to be revived this year. DD wasn't impressed at all with the M&S ad although haven't seen it myself yet.
Being very MSE this week and instead of throwing out last year's Christmas jumper I've made a cushion out of it. :jIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Evening everyone,
NITNURSE oh bleurgh to the bad bit of your day and yayy to the good bitthat book has such a feel good storyline you will soon be back to yourself
IRISHROSE i totally agree about people putting stuff on ebay and selling it for stupid money it really makes me angry, they do it with the boots gift sets and the latest kids toys, but then if people stopped paying the stupid prices they wouldnt be able to make any money and would stop doing it
PEPPAPIG thankyou my lovely, haha what is it about getting older and using machines, im like that with car park machines, coffee machines in cafes etc :rotfl::rotfl:BUT major achievement here, on saturday because i was so stressed i decided i didnt want to talk to anyone so went to self scan, now i dont know if it is me or the blooming self scan but i spend more time waiting for the SA to come over than anyone else, but i put everything through and it was perfect, no 'wait for a sales assistant' or 'extra item in the bagging area' i even said to the SA on the way out, first time ever, i felt quite normal :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Totally agree Freespirit. It annoys me even more that tere are people who are desperate enough (I don't mean that in a bad way by the way) and under enough pressure to get things in for Christmas, and it saddens me that people take advantage of them
By the way, I am waiting VERY PATIENTLY for another glimpse of the new baby:whistle:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

IRISHROSE yes well these are the people they are preying on arent they! Its just pure greed, there is a difference between making money and ripping people off  Aaah i will have to find one out and put on here especially for you#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

I don't do the outdoor decs thing but there are some nice light sets and some really nice crackers.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
