I'm terrible with sad story lines even the disney ones make me wellup :o

Belated Birthday wishes MRsI glad you have a lovely day

ChrissyG  what can you say the stupidity they show amazes me some times

Homebargains had a few new bits in some decent sized wicker baskets for £1.99 & a knit your own beanie £3.99? which . quite a few bits I'm hoping they'll still have next wk but xmas wise picked up a 2pk magnetic nailpolish for £1.49, the hamper wrap set someone mention 79p. they also had cadburys choc sachets for 10p bb feb15.

Adsa have the nescafe sachets for £1 a box so might pick up a few different ones and do a staff room coffee hamper for ds teachers this yr along with some of the hot choc sachets and maybe some biscuits do you think that would be appreciated?

I was just coming in to tell you all about the asda nescafe offer! Includes my fave gingerbread latte & I've bought spiced orange mocha and millionaires shortbread to try too. £1 a pack is the cheapest I've seen them anywhere. :T

  • Chrissy I thought it was a relation too. It looks awful thanks for the heads up as dd is 9 and likes ffrozen and I'm struggling to find bits and she loves the slap things.

Free spirit good luck on the airport run. I know you'll be fine which is naughty of me to say as every point you listed about it I also have big issues with not least cabbies who write their own highway code differently each time they drive it feels.

I've been waiting for the gingerbread lattes to come down I'm going to stock up thanks.

I love the costa cups I can't justify the cost though. I've a rainbows overnight coming up and it would be lovely to have a hot chocolate in them.

I love these cold snuggly days. Strictly was fab I love Judy but think its cos anton is my favourite. I thought the guy from eastenders was a dark horse but he is slipping down the board a bit and although I'm still mourning matt Smith dr who wwas good. Role on I'm a celebrity means Christmas is within touching distance x

Just been looking at ikea online & they have disposable Christmassy cups/mugs if that's any use? I know it's not the costa ones...
Maybe if you got yourself a hot choc there, I'm sure they could spare you a few extra mugs if asked nicely. Maybe choose a quiet moment, though.

I've missed the Coca cola advert again cause I don't watch X Factor. lol

I've spent this evening searching for a christmas card from santa. It's mainly the verse inside I want, I had one a few years ago, and know for a fact I threw it away in the summer while having a clear-out
Now I can't find it on the internet. All I'm getting is letters from Santa, but no mention of cards.

And I bought this one in a card shop in town a few years back, which is annoying me even more lol.

I've also been searching for dates for the Coca Cola truck visits to Ireland, but am only getting dates for mainland UK :( tried the Irish coca cola website too with no luck.

Seems I'm just not meant to get this verse or dates!

  • Went for a stroll around town yesterday & saw that Iceland & £land have Terry's chocolate oranges for £1 if anybody is on the look out.
Had my 1st Christmas coffee of the season too... sticky toffee latte :T
  • Irishrose - I heard cola were "cutting back" on tour dates, but missing Ireland out completely seems very unfair, hopefully they're just late announcing your dates.

Oh dear, dd2 has fallen in love with monty the penguin (john lewis ad) and has added him to her list for Santa. But online has sold out, as have my local store, and the £12 one is on eBay for over £70!!!

Might have to ban TV and hope she forgets about him lol x

Nothing xmassy happening here, had a very busy week between my 3 p/t jobs - made worse by being stung with emergency tax, even though my total weekly earnings still come in just under £100! Hope they sort it soon, cos they've basically taken all my earnings from my Saturday job :-(

Morrison's this morning, hoping they still have a decent selection on the 2 for £7 tins.

It is different and would/should be very much appreciated. I know it would in our staffroom, by both teachers and the assistants. And yes, it would be very different from the numerous boxes of chocolates/bottles of wine, soap sets that are always given. Because of this I always make sure to think outside the box for my children's teachers and assistants and try to stay away from that kind of stuff. I know I receive an awful lot of stuff that I won't use/drink/don't like, but to me it's the thought that counts and am always grateful. I always make sure to thank parents in person if and when possible.
It's totally up to you when you send it in, The last week would be a good idea as it's usually one of the the busiest weeks for schools. Well it is in our school anyway, that and last week of the school year, when people tend to think and say to us about "winding down" They are the worst times of the school year!
So the last week sounds like a good idea. :)

I'm now thinking I want to steal your idea and do the same for my LO's schools, even though I've already got their teachers and assinstants in lol

I don't think this little girl is related to Chrissy. Apologies if she is though! This pic has been circulating around facebook for a week or so now.
If she is related to you Chrissy though I hope she is ok!

You are right no relation to me saw it on Facebook but as a lot of people were buying Frozen stuff on here I thought id better warn you.
It does make me suspicious of the pound shops now they clearly aren't bothered about safety just cashing in on the latest "big thing" Surely someone thought to deconstruct one before they went on sale.
