Belated birthday wishes to MrsI. Glad to read that you had a lovely day.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Oh chrissy that looks terribly painful. I hope the little duck is alright!!!!
Not much Christmassy goings on here other than another couple of films watched throughout the day. Can't believe how dark it is at this time, although the log burner going and candles lit it feels very cosy.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I was hoping it would be a good idea something a bit different and more useful then the endless boxes of chocs/flowers ect. Do you think it would be better to send in at the begining of the last wk rather then last day? Considering Ds has 3 daily ta's aswell as his teacher and several others who are help out weekly it will prob work out a bit cheaper too.
It's totally up to you when you send it in, The last week would be a good idea as it's usually one of the the busiest weeks for schools. Well it is in our school anyway, that and last week of the school year, when people tend to think and say to us about "winding down" They are the worst times of the school year!
So the last week sounds like a good idea.
I'm now thinking I want to steal your idea and do the same for my LO's schools, even though I've already got their teachers and assinstants in lolmrs-moneypenny wrote: »ouch Chrissy that NEEDS reporting to trading standards.

I have an odd question. Anyone know if you can buy the disposable cups from Costa alone instead of getting coffee etc??
Reason being is I want to use them for LO's surprise visit to see Santa in the zoo but they don't like their Hot Chocolate, and I don't drink anything from that shop. I don't like coffee at all so would prefer to just buy the cups empty if you know what I mean?Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

Worth asking, you might be able to get a couple if your local are nice, though I imagine they wouldn't give out big quantities just in case anyone wants to pretend they're selling Costa! Can't imagine why you would but it's worth a shot.
Feeling a little bit happier now, I've spent the afternoon baking and making soup - 10 pots of french onion and potato, leek and bacon ready to go in my freezer, I'm debating on whether to do some carrot and coriander as well (may be dependent on if I have coriander in) as I don't really watch anything that's on TV atm. I've also baked some macaroons and they have turned out rather well :T so now I'm thinking that I might make some at Christmas, either as a gift for my parents or for Christmas evening.
I've also decided the Gingerbread house will be made for my Christmas lunch at work so I am definitely going to have to do a trial run, but not today!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Evening. My oh is out at a gig, so I have an evening with a glass of wine, nibbles and Christmas 24. Heaven
I have also managed to reserve a Snow glow Elsa from Argos. Plus a stunt scooter for my DS and Dd1. (3 for 2 on toys) It's only things they have asked for. My 3 yr old I'd still obsessed by Frozen, so was worried when all Elsa's were out of stock. I've did the fast track pick up thing, so have paid. Fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled before its due in. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
