We have a rule: the tree can't go up until mum and dads anniversary (24th November) has passed. So maybe the 25th lol. I was thinking for sis she loves gaming and make up so something along those lines?“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Was hoping someone maybe able to help me, I have a dilemma with eldest DDs stocking. She has decided she doesn't like chocolate oranges but I'd already brought them... ages ago when they were £1 in Tesc0s offer to go at the bottom of everyone's.
As DDs stockings are almost identical I need an alternative & was hoping for something similar, chocolate & ball like... she does like mint chocolate if that's any help! So if anyone's seen any mint chocolate shaped balls/oranges (mint Matchstick boxes are too big) or have any ideas & could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Many thanks
Argh! A couple of years ago Terrys did a Mint Choc Orange which was the nicest thing EVER! Can't believe they don't do it them any more! Not that I've seen anyway
I did see some 'giant' Ferrero Rochers in tesco today, think they were a chocolate shell with two normal ferreros in it if that helps?0 -

Our tree goes up on my birthday (28th) a tradition my grandparents started the day I was born.
I know trifle is really simple, but mine allows turn out a little bland. Does anyone have a tried & tested "knock your socks off" recipe, easy on the alcohol as dds love trifle too!
Feel a little calmer now I'm snuggled on the sofa, glass of wine, and Xmas 24 on!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

My Hot Toddy was from years ago when I worked in Lush. I bought quite a few when I still had my very generous discount. Can't afford them anymore. But Oooh, they're so good.
I picked up on your name in the book. And the nickname!
Still not far into it. Been finishing the crochet scarf for my hubby. It's now done, so I will be glued to the kindle every opportunity now.freespirit66 wrote: »Oh BTW i keep forgetting to mention, a few of you wanted Cadbury Coins this year, they have stopped making them so there wont be anymore
I saw that and it's a shame, but I admit that I don't buy then anymore. I like the Lidl (or is it Aldi?) ones with the choc notes in the bag too.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Welcome back DisabledNCISfan - sorry to hear things haven't been going well to you and I hope being back on here will help cheer you up.
Pinknfluffy, sounds like you'll be having fun over the next few months. I think people are always a bit off with someone who comes in from outside and is over them, especially if one of them might have wanted to do it. I bet you'll win them over and sort them out and they'll be wondering how they ever liked it without you.
Pixtotts, sorry about the Avon party. I always used to have lots of books on shelves but they've almost all gone now and it's just the Kindle and a few reference books (plus all DGD's books of course).
Our tree always went up the first weekend after 4th December when the children were small. DD's birthday is 4th and I always used to wait until after that to put the decs up so as not to overshadow her special day. They don't live at home now but I still tend to do it round about the same time. Mind you, they all come down the day after Boxing day - I find it too depressing to have them up when it's all over. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
