having far too much fun with my new gadget lol today i made two drinking glasses for my dd1's 18th bday.. one which has a sugar skull and poison written on it. the other says alice in wonderland then on the opposite side a silhouette of alice holding a teapot. Oh also made a little shadow of tinkerbell who is now sitting on dd4's lightswitch. she was a bit wary of it until she touched it and realised its not her real shadow lol.
I'm waiting for a diff tool for the cricut then i can try out card making and more papercuts i've designed. Got loads of xmas projects i want to get made when kids are back to school too.. Only downside is the housework seems to be getting neglected so i must get it tidy again tomorrow before i play again lol.
my dd2 mentioned there being christmas themed bras in primark? is it true. she's requested some lol but don't recall seeing any last time i was in there.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

You've inspired me to consider making some Christmas small pressies with my silhouette cameo. The irony is that although it's used daily, it's all for business use, so family and friends never benefit lol. Off to Pinterest for inspiration! X[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

I also went a bit mad earlier in the week and bought a Christmas tree, had had my eye on it for a while and the price dropped to the princely sum of £20. It will last me for yearsValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I was hoping to do some charity gifts this year (shoe boxes, toy donations) but apart from a Toy Stand in our local Tesco that was up for two days I've seen and heard nothing
The local radio station normally does one but all I can find on google is last years, and it was closed by the 10th of November.
Any advice on finding one or am I too late?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Hi All!!
Dont know if many of you will remember me from the last 2 years of threads! Wanted to pop in and say hi and get a few ideas now the "christmas" hat is on!
Lots has changed for me this last year which is why I havent been on, between moving to England, meeting my new partner and getting engaged at easter, new job, new house you name it!
Need lots of help for a quite frugal christmas this year as its just the two of us and need to make it extra special as our first living together and our first as engaged and to add to the mix the worst time of the year for my fiance! Add that with a few financial struggles so will make this the most challenging but hopefully the most rewarding one yet!

I start buying in October for our local toy appeal. Its run by our local radio station and they collect from around the end of November and it finishes around about the aecond week in December. I know that the radio company is Bauer so they may have something local to you. The salvation army and operation xmas child are also annual collections so may be worth a look.
Dont forget the food banks either. Throughout November i ask my team of around 30-40 people at work to buy one extra item in the food shop but buy something different, like a bag of sweets, selection boxes or a box of cakes. We then donate these at the start of December so the food banks have time to organise distribution before xmas. Last year we donated over 200 items and there wasnt a tin of beans or tomoato soup in sight.0 -
