GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY oh im so sorry about your knee must be very painful, can they give you painkillers too?
If I give in to pill popping, things are very bad, which is why I want to see physio, hopefully I will be taught how to do exercises to keep pain down to a minimum, that way, if I need to take painkillers, I will be able to benefit from them. Still, I have an incentive for weightloss:DA smile costs little but creates much0 -
Anyone know what date the Tesco Christmas savers vouchers are available from? Need to get ds a HUDL 2 & hope to double up on boost as well. Which should make it free if my Aug-Nov points calculations are correct
I posted just before you but they are available today. you should find them at the check out online.. not all clubcard accounts have updated yet so you won't necessarily see them on there yet.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

I could always grab some for you & post them if needed?
2 for £2 is a great price compared to what Am*z*n wanted to charge for them!
I haven't had chance to go and have a look yet
I really like this and might attempt to do something similar

Well I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself because I've remember to open a Word document and respond to posts as I read through so I don't keep forgetting what I wanted to say so here goes......
Welcome Buzzybeeand Jobo
Mrs G, thosevases and glasses are beautiful.
Aliaslotte thehampers look really good – I’m fine at putting the hampers together but not sohot at the cellophane but you seem to have got it mastered.
Chrissy, lovingthe fireplace. I’d like to have a go atsomething like that too but trying not to buy too many new decs this year ashave problems storing them the rest of the year lol
Kissmenow, I’mthe same, I’d like to do something for someone but not sure how to find outwho. I’ve done Operation Christmas Childin past years but not totally comfortable with the religious side of it sowould like to do something else. Chrissy – what did you put into thesearch on Facebook to find what was going on locally?
Welcome back Weeclickand congratulations, sounds like you’ve had an eventful year
Gettingtherequicklyif you do find exercises that reduce your knee pain please post them – DH has arthritisin both knees and is in pretty much constant pain despite morphine basedpatches.
Linz4383, sorryto hear about DH losing his job but very pleased to hear that he’s got a newone. Hope things will continue toimprove for you, especially when baby arrives.
On the Christmas front here I managed to get two lovelyelves from the Card Factory today so am putting them away until next year whenI hope my two little grandsons will be able to enjoy the whole elf on the shelfthing like my little granddaughter does.
Has anybody seen any gift bags that aren’t the huge size butwhich are deeper than the normal ones? Iwant to put the hampers I’ve done in gift bags but haven’t seen any that aredeep enough without them being the really big ones. If anyone sees any drawstring ones they wouldprobably be ok too but I don’t really want to pay too much.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Afternoon!
It has been a few hours since my first post and actually getting to fully caught up!! Unfortunately I have forgotten to do what peppa did and open a word document to reply as I go
There are some very lovely hampers appearing and I see some new posters; welcome to the maddness
I have managed to finish all but FIL now  not a clue what else to get for him, need to have a think and a word with MIL.
Work has been quite a drag today, made even worse by being called in to a meeting and being told from 30th June 2015 I will be made redundant3 other colleagues also! We knew it would be coming but still feels quite a shock. I know I will have a little cry later when I tell OH, luckily I have been told the package I will get and it is to be a lot better than I ever expected and I should hopefully have another job to walk in to anyway, it's still not nice though as I have enjoyed most of my time here and working with the people I do!! --OK that is enough bringing down the thread...
When you do a hamper and wrap with cellophane but want to hide what is in it what do you tend to do? Wrap Xmas wrap around the hamper or pop in to a bag? Part of my mum's gift will be in a hamper as it's pamper stuff but i don't want her to be able to see it before it's unwrapped if that makes sense?Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hugs, Newthrift. I've been made redundant in the past, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise in the one case, as it moved me on to more challenging things. The second one was a short term job that wasn't really redundancy so much as a contract not being extended, luckily I had a tutoring job to walk in to after the summer holiday period.
For crafters, did I post about Aldi's felt squares, 9 x 9 and £3.99 for 10 in store on Thu? Can't remember!
Aldi's Christmas Specialbuys are out next Sunday, Nov 2nd. I love the giftbags. I normally give attractive re-usable shopping bags as giftbags but these really appeal.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hi All!!
Dont know if many of you will remember me from the last 2 years of threads! Wanted to pop in and say hi and get a few ideas now the "christmas" hat is on!
Lots has changed for me this last year which is why I havent been on, between moving to England, meeting my new partner and getting engaged at easter, new job, new house you name it!
Need lots of help for a quite frugal christmas this year as its just the two of us and need to make it extra special as our first living together and our first as engaged and to add to the mix the worst time of the year for my fiance! Add that with a few financial struggles so will make this the most challenging but hopefully the most rewarding one yet!
*away off to read back through the thread*
Hi weeclick, lovely to see you back! DH and I have a few traditions, such as takeaway on the night we put up decorations AND Christmas Eve. We also find one new tree ornament a year that is specialChristmas Day now always starts with a Tassimo (only time the blooming thing gets used) and salmon and cream cheese bagel. We are also collecting a few must have recipes (like my sausage and stuffing pin wheel sausage rolls) that are only made at Christmas
msgigglewick wrote: »yay! i'm hoping to set up a small business once i get use to it a bit more so probably after xmas sometime. love seeing all your bits in your fb store
and
i'll get my decent camera out sometime and take proper photos lol oh forgot the tinkerbell hang on
the keep your bedtime tidy fairy
Those are beautiful and a real inspiration! Did you use outdoor vinyl for the glass, or are you intending it to be display only? I only ask as I'm desperate to make some for the family, but worry about what vinyl to use!I've just succeeded in buying a few from a lady on facebook!!
Can't remember who mentioned it but the big soap and glory one is missing the face cleanser this yearI love that stuff
it's got face wipes instead
Now I need your expert help...
I need to make some really really easy but christmassy tasting biscuits! Could someone help me out with a recipe pleaseee
I usually just make normal biscuits and decorate them christmassy, but I have Christmas cookie cutters from Avon for the party wed, so need the taste to be christmassy because I won't decorate. Ooh and needs to be something that doesn't spread as the biscuits have slots so you can stand them on mugs...
x
I can't help with the recipe BUT if your biscuits do spread, re-cut them whilst still warm (carefully) and you will get clean crisp edgessaw it on bake off

I'm sorry about your work situation - i'm going through similar at the mo.
You could cover the contents of the hamper with a thin layer of tissue paper so they can't see what is in it. Then it will come off when the cling film comes off and surprise them!
Last time I wrapped it but it was a nightmare, the weight ripped the paper! :mad:0 -

Thanks for the aldi link. The gold tea lights would be good for pots of gold and the tissue paper for hiding hamper contents...:)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
