Congratulations on the job Pink. That's fantastic! :D

I broke up with my partner yesterday, of 19 months. :( Even if I know it has been heading that way for a while, it is still very hard to cope with at the moment. I am in a state of disbelief I think - I can't quite get my ahead around him not being there anymore... I had also sorted out pretty much all of his birthday and Christmas presents. Annoying. I've sent him one of the presents as it was a personalised book that cost me £20 - can hardly regift it or send it back. He might as well have it. I might try and redirect some of the other things or give them to charity - I don't want them hanging around here but I don't want them to go to waste. The annoying thing is I don't know anyone who would appreciate them as much as him, as he has quite... individual taste. :/

Huge hugs for you my lovely XX was almost there a few weeks ago so i know just how your tummy feels right now :grouphug:pm me if you would like to offload to a complete stranger x

What do you have to get rid of, maybe some one would like it on here? If not I hope you can ebay them or raffle prize them soon.

My son knows that mum & dad, nanny & others buy his gifts for him but he also get a special "santa" gift for good behavior & being a nice kid.

We played it like, santa is mega busy & he can only get one kid one toy otherwise he wouldn't be able to make enough for everyone so he ropes in families as helpers to buy, wrap & distribute the other gifts to their kids, to give him a hand.

The Elf also drops off a Christmas eve hamper and his advent gifts throughout the 24 days but only for the ones who have been especially good that year.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • Have just made my final payment to the devil that is Barclays! Overdraft all cleared, that's me debt free!

I am determined I will never, ever, get myself into that position again! Such a relief, things are finally starting to look up in the fluffy household!

Popped into tesco first thing, doing my good deed and picking up the game dd1 wants with her bday money, to save dh taking her into town Saturday whilst I'm at work. Not only did I also get the dvd boxset for dhs stocking half price, and some mr & mrs passport covers (part of mums wedding gift) for just £2, but upon checking my receipt when I got home, found they hadnt even charged me for dd1's £20 game!

Felt briefly guilty, but only very briefly, as it was an obvious till error as it has come up at 00.00.

So if anyone needs Skate 3 for the xbox 360, get down there fast lol x
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Disney Frozen fans - I've just seen on qvc an exclusive Frozen item. They have a little music box with either the princesses on them or Olaf the snowman. It also comes with a necklace inside. Very cute for little ones. Princess music box sings 'let it go' song and snowman box sings 'do you want to build a snowman'. £19.56 & £2.59 p&p - advanced order delivered end of November. Not available anywhere else till January. By the way, today they have lots of Christmas items on there - including a laser light display for inside or outside of the house!

pinkandfluffy congratulations :j  Must be such a relief for you !!

Well you are all making me want to get my elf even more, although we do not have children just yet it will be for mine and OH's entertainment only for the time being :D I am such a big kid at Christmas, although I knowwww I like to pretend I don't makes it so much more fun and obviously I love Christmas time :D:D I will just add I am 23 almost 24 and when our friends go on about stuff and Santa not being real he always tells them not to ruin it for me ;) :rotfl: I can honestly say when we do have children I hope that it does get to the point we have to tell them rather than they find out too young!

irishrose how lovely for all the kids at your school!

I have seen this morning only 11 Fridays to go :xmastree:

I am amazed by facebook, someone local set up a Christmas gift/decoration selling page, so I posted a photo of all the games and jigsaws I never got round to putting on ebay last year, sold 2 already, and had someone else ask me how much for the lot :o! I asked them for an offer, and while waiting to hear back have received 2 more messages about individual games...waiting to see what they offer me, but part of me wants to say I'd rather sell them individually. I'd rather sell them a bit cheaper to a family than to someone to sell on... does that make sense? x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

pixitotts yes that makes sense :) It's nice to know something that you are selling will go somewhere nice and not just for someone else to make profit off straight away.

I actually LOVE you! Just got Mulan for my DD that she has wanted for ages and Frozen (for me) I was resigned to only buying her Mulan to stick within my budget as it ranged between 10 and 15 (kept checking to see if I could find bargains not pre owned) Thank you Soooooo much!

You are welcome! Glad to have helped someone. :)
    Savings Account - £0.00 :(

    Weight Loss - 33lbs lost 9lbs to go :)
  • Pink and Fluffy congratulations! How wonderful! Can I ask how you did it? Did you set an amount or in dribs and drabs? Ive just cut up my card and need to work out how to pay back as much of that debt asap before my situation changes in April. Im thinking a bit of both (currently minimum is on DD so I dont miss deadlines and pay as and when but need to be firmer really)

Off to £land in a mo, really hoping for some of my list to be in today - I havemy tenner in its own purse and been trawling it around for ages now lol
