Those are the hats I'm using for my coke bottles too. I did the same last year with the glass coke bottles as it is only this year that it has been possible to order the personalised ones :D

What are you using to stick the pom pom noses on the candy cane reindeer? I used double sided tape last year, but the noses kept falling off

Oh sugar lumps I was planning in using double sided tape:rotfl:
Didn't get as far as eyes and noses tonight, I have the antlers on all 60 canes. That's enough for one night, I'm heading off to bed now:o

Will have to have a think about the noses and eyes now  Maybe Blutak???
Let me see what I can find in work tomorrow and I'll get back to you:rotfl:

Double sided tape worked for the eyes - I used fairly small googly ones.

It is the noses .... what to do about the noses :rotfl:

Here are the ones I made in 2012

P.S. The Where's Wally advent calendars were near the self service check outs (just one tiny display shelf of them) at my M&S.

I'm sure some of you MSE will be able to beat that :j:j:j

Ladies, I need your advice again.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped me decide what to get my girlfriend for Christmas.

I am hoping to make her life easier and hinting what I want but how shall I do it?

Without sounding like a big kid, I really want a remote controlled helicopter, this one in particular.

To be honest, I would be happy with any of these.

Any tips on how to bring up the subject? I know girls are great at this stuff!

It's tradition in our house to have an amazon wish list. It's given out to everyone that asks about gifts and has things from all budgets. Even if it's just used for inspiration, it's a handy thing to have.

    Hello all.

Still on stand by to have a bed in Southampton hospital - They want to do another Lumbar puncture despite the pain and risks involved , its either that or having a bolt put in lol. Then if results aren't good possibly emergency brain surgery to open the shunt back up. Hope they hurry up so I can concentrate on moving forward.

I need to do more Xmas shopping. And children birthday shopping , also my uncles birthday lol. Crikey.
Paid the majority of my bills last night , have a rough idea of October money.

Can anyone post examples of easy to do santa sleighs and snow man soups please.

    xxx

Oh junior, great big Christmassy hugs to you xxx

We've had a set of the glass coke bottles as well as having been able to get a regular one in the shop each anyway, all have standard names Andy Becky Charlotte and Katie, they were everywhere! My glass one has Char though, which is alright, my sister did them I probably would have gone Lottie myself but meh. My glass one wont be opened it will just live on my bookcase probably :) We've ordered a set for family friends too, as they couldn't find one of their names, and the lads girlfriend can't even decide how to spell her name, she complains everyone spells it wrong then has it spelt wrong on facebook!!! So we aren't sure if we have it right now even lol!

I am very frustrated this morning, the cheese platter I'm painting, appeared on matalan website half price this morning, so I added 4 to my basket, carried on to the end of the sale bit, they've gone from my basket and now can't be found anywhere on the website! :(

Oh and... I'd put money on it being a really cold winter this year! Our heating is broken.... last time it was broken it broke because it was so cold the oil went all sludgy in the pipes, i think it was -20C not far from me...
It's coooooold! I get sluggish when I'm cold... I'm getting nothing done...

Hi Ed, myself and my husband both have amazon wish lists & downloaded the thing that is at the top of the screen so if I see something on another website, I can add it to my wish list. I also have one each for my two children so they know what ideas my girls like.

Maybe you could download it and then you'll get what you want but will still be a surprise?
Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:
