I forgot to mention earlier, I was in Tesco yesterday getting some Twinings tea for DH (his favourite, nothing else will do!) and they've got some really nice Christmas tins out now, for the same price as the normal boxes, £3 for 100 bags.

They have snowflake designs which are made up of tea things (teapots, teaspoons, teacups etc) and they're really pretty.

I can't find any image online other than this http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/twinings-english-breakfast-christmas-tin-100-tea-bags-1-99-b-m-1716038 which is an old link from last year, but definitely worth keeping an eye out for. They even have 'to/from' labels on them, so perfect as a little pressie or to go in hampers :)

Well I went to the range.. very little Christmas stuff out so I'm going to have to force myself to go again next week :p .. I did pick up 4 advent calendars, 6 Christmas bags, a singing dog, 8 spools of ribbon, 20000000000 bulbs for the garden.. OH is after a flower shop I think.. it is the Dutch in him I'm sure.. a garden broom, 10 rolls of sticky tape, 2 drinks bottles, a scarf for my sister, 4 toothbrushes, a pack of pens, a tub of fish food, .. and a partridge in a pear tree lol..

I forgot to get the bathmat, couldn't find the plastic coated wire, the nail art calendars weren't out yet and I neeeeeeeeed some new tinsel and a tree topper when they finish getting those out.. I need a few more gift bags too.. I left all this while last minute last year and ended up with nothing as it had all gone.

  • Afternoon everyone. Was in town last night and picked up a couple of small bits and pieces. Cards for those close to me that I didn't manage to get in the sales last year (niece, nephews etc) Got lovely Santa Gift boxes and gift bags too! The card factory done well out of me yesterday :rotfl: :o

Also picked up large Marshmallows and lolly sticks for the lollies that were posted up during the week. Just need to get sprinkles for those now.

Picked up Advent calendars and paper chain making kits on poundland and also a large baking bowl as Im hoping to make some Scottish Tablet for Christmas gifts. Will have a practice run for that next week. Got some with a cuppa last week in Scotland and OMG it was heaven!!

Going to sit down later on and write out my christmas card list. I bought my christmas cards in the sales last year but saw some lovely new ones in The card shop last night that I want:o

Older kids schools had their class lists up on their display boards to tell them which class had which teacher etc so took a photo of those names for their christmas cards. I did ask permission from both Principals and explained why before I did so though.
I have their cards in already for their classmates though, again, I bought them in the sales last year :rotfl:

Have been sitting making up the teacher/Classroom assistant survival packs in the hope to sell them on ebay for Christmas gifts, Have everything I need for those except individually wrapped tea-bags. Have to have a proper look for those, and I don't want to spend too much either on them as I'm trying to keep the cost down, to keep the price of the product as low as possible.

Sorted 3 boxes of presents into 2 boxes..

Ribbons purchased to make pretty ribbony bobbles for my girlies! Next week though.. I want to finish my sisters hat this weekend... and get some more of Moomins blanket done.. and then start my mothers scarf and then OH's mothers cardy.. then DS1's jumper.. • Nanamia, so glad to see you back. so sorry you have had such a tough time, hope everything progresses well now.
Chez invis is undergoing something of a revamp, (in as much as l am moving stuff about, and throwing stuff away without buying replacement stuff to fill the spaces.) zo far so good, and l have also been busy turning summer bedding pots into autumn/winter ones, while the weather is being kind.
Not much movement on the Christmas front, but l will pick up a copy of 'that' magazine tomorrow, get my mojo up and running perhaps. xxx

Hmm, Wiggle is STILL asleep and it's been about 3.5 hrs which is quite long for him during the day, I don't know whether to wake him up or not. He's 7 weeks old. Some people advise you to wake them up and some people say leave them if they're happy sleeping. I'm not sure if it affects his night time sleeping or not really.
7 weeks old he will still sleep lots in the day and lots at night too, don't worry about it and listen to your instincts not everyone else's conflicting advice, every child is unique and mummy knows best x

Nanamia welcome back xxxxx You have been missed xxxx

Very busy week here. Open evening at work (school) so not home til 9pm yesterday. Today my "day off" living room was being painted. House now looks very messy and a potential buyer coming Sunday. Boys are ill. particularly baby :( Changing DS1 from school preschool class to a private nursery as can use his 15 free hours to save me £60 a week in childcare costs. So spent 90 minutes there today with him. And half a dozen other little chicks who decided to adopt a mummy for the afternoon lol. Also while he was at normal preschool this morning, took baby to library sing-song and then local shops.
In card factory I picked up a lovely cuddly rudolph for £1.99. Disappointed there were no elves or santas I asked the lady if they might be getting more things soon. Anyway lovely lady went upstairs and found me two elves (99p each) and Santas for £1.99 or 99p (all last years stock!) Delighted! Bought the big Santa to go with Rudolph. Also both elves, my friend might want one, otherwise will keep both. They can be twins ;)
Also collected dinosaur toys and books from a lady in New Brighton (facebook sale) so had a nice walk in the fresh air down there first. DS1 loves just getting out and about and everything is an adventure. My mum asked him later what we did on our walk and he said "just play, play, play Nanny!" <3

nanamia great to see you back you have been missed. sending healing vibes and hope dh is home soon

princesskitty glad things went well today its def daunting doing things alone at first. as for the long sleep I rarely woke mine unless I really needed to esp while they were so young so as long as your happy let him sleep when he wants.

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
