  • Sat here knitting elf hats for babies (an order) and thought ooo best go check in lol having a bit of a grrr day knitting wise.. finished a really cute diaper cover for a photographer order.. showed them the photo and they've decided they don't like the colour (pink and yellow) and would like grey and pink... soooo annoying but means they'll have to wait at least another week for the wool to be delivered.

Ordered a few manga bits on aliexpress for dd2's stocking fillers. She is sooo easy to buy for atm i am trying not to over do it .. still struggling for the 12 yr old. though she asked for a knitting loom this morning so might hunt one of those out.
It's so nice to see christmas appearing in places :D

Hi all, I seem to have lost a few months and am about a hundred pages behind, we moved in May, I officially started my business and since then the months have just flown by and Im so much busier than expected, hard work tho. I'm sorting my christmas range at the mo and it made me think of you guys, so I hope everyone is well and life has been kind over the past few months. I'm hoping to get a few quiet evenings so I can read back and catch up :-)

Evening everyone, i had a fab day and have now finished presents for kids and DD2 OH and grandbean, both stockings i have to do are finished as well now, just my friends tea hamper, i got some nice twinings tea and a lovely basket, i will put a pic on tomorrow of basket it was 1.99 in HB and is perfect, and i am doing a Just add Ice Cream hamper for DD2 and OH so they have something to open as they just want money this year, so i got sprinkles, marshmallows, cones today just need sauces, choc chips, flakes and some other cones now :) I also found another new flavour of the Nescafe Mochas/Lattes/Cappucinos range, Spiced Orange it is gorgeous and of course i grabbed my favourite Gingerbread Lattes and they are all half price £1.50 in Asda atm :D Thankyou to everyone who said yay to my ditty it means a lot :) HB had some christmas bits out, selection boxes, tree chocs, candy canes, cards, wrapping paper, a lovely babys 1st xmas blanket (2.99) and some baby outfits, father christmas and elf all in ones, Matalan were putting theirs out but not ready till monday 22nd, Poundland had a few christmas decs, cards, paper, B&M had a few gift sets and paper, so there still isnt a lot out there

PIGPEN oh that Thomas Sabo charm is gorgeous, DD2 has a TS charm bracelet as well so it would be perfect, going to see if i have the funds to treat her, thankyou

04624181 aah thankyou its only a mini one but i know she will love it, omg isnt it typical when you have the funds and you need the stuff you cant find anything, yet when you havent got money and dont need it you find loads of things ?????? And no christmas stuff :(

SPENDLESS haha you have made me giggle again, i like your way of thinking re: the change

Great idea for a hamper. I might borrow that for someone next summer if that's ok?
Spiced orange sounds nice. Will add that to my list to try. And the gingerbread latte sachets were popular last year, so I'll get some more of those. I love them too!
Went to order a festive book bundle from The Works last night-4 books for £5, including 2 Carole Matthews ones, but they are out of stock now. Ended up buying a Kylie book for £3.99 delivered. Will try for the festive bundle again soon because that'll make great pressie add ons.

    Hello lovelies

Sorry I have been missing! My friend invited me to take her friends place in a holiday (9 hours before we had to leave for the airport) so I had a gorgeous 4.5 day break in the hotel Benidorm is filmed at :) First proper holiday it was lovely!

Since being back I have been trying to get more organised , on the ball shall we say lol.

    Has anyone heard from Nanmia?

    Hope you all are well!

My big Tesco had some Xmas smelly gift sets out , no special prices I don't think - Primark had Xmas leggings and tops and a new range of winter nightwear - plus jewerlly advent calenders.

xx I have 3 kids birthdays between now and Xmas and 2 adults - 2 of the kids have been brought for.. xx

Anyway enough rambling , will read back now

Hi,Please can I join you? I have been reading for over a year so I already feel like I know you all. Some of you were talking about making stuff for Christmas fairs.I am doing one and my "stock" is coming along nicely.Last year I made up little doggy bags with gravy bones. They were popular and I was asked if I did similar for cats. Not having a cat I wonder does anyone know of a cat biscuit in the shape of fish?If anyone were interested I could post photos of what I have made so far. Vulpix xx

Hi folks, read back but too tired to write much tonight. (sleep deprived) Anyway, a friend of mine showed me a hot deals link today. A toy elf with a little story book in a gift box for £5. At Sainsburys. Will try to check it out this week. Also bought a big roadmap playmat for DS1 via facebook for £5 and an elephant that balls pop out of for £4 for baby's first birthday next month. On the way home my ebay app went kerching as an item had just sold for £9 so have only spent a bit of petrol :)
Also got a selection of calendars from the Works on Saturday for xmas gifts. And some lovely personalised christmas decorations from Clintons.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.

PIGPEN oh i bet your DD was so upset at losing all of them, i just have one of the elastic band ones with a D charm on it and i have lost it twice lately luckily i have found it but i noticed there seems to be a big gap on the catch so i will have to sort that before i wear it again, they are so blooming expensive i wouldnt be able to replace it now, good luck in finding the charms at a good price :rotfl:

PRINCESSKITTY oh you sound so much brighter :) glad you are keeping well and your journey goes smoothly to your mum and dads, i have to be organised otherwise it really stresses me out that i wont have enough money :o

LEXILEX hi and welcome to our lovely thread, my house used to be a complete grotto when the kids were younger and it made me laugh when my DD2 (who has just moved into her first house) said 'mum i want my house to be full of xmas just like yours used to be' so i must have got something right haha :) 94 sleeps already!!! i knew it would just disappear once it hit 100

MSGIGGLEWICK oh how annoying after all that time and effort you put into it

DEBNDOT hi and welcome back, glad the business is doing so well

Have you read A Whiff of Scandal as i have finished that and can pass it on if you would like?

Glad you had a lovely holiday JJ x

I used those baskets last year for hampers freespirit, they were great. Really cheap too but looked good. Will be buying more this year.

I love home bargains and their Xmas stuff. They have loads of lovely party items too. I got come stripy paper straws. Was looking for some for picture props ( in glass milk bottles) but also for milkshake cupcakes.

We have a Range opening in our town soon, I have never been in one, they sound great at Xmas, so can't wait to look around.

Not much present buying going on here as I am pretty skint and all payday money is spoken for :-( things never get any easier :(
