This doesn't surprise me at all, I know a boxer who absolutely loves it! If it's for the boys they will love one item in particular because it doesn't look like it should smell how it does if that makes sense.

Well its not good enough if it doesn't have the sparkles too.. :D

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

I got her the bracelet and 3 charms for her 18th and she lost it so last Christmas I picked up the bracelet and one of the charms for £35 in total. and this year I want to get her the mama charm and if I can possibly find the owl charm cheap in silver I'll replace that for her too.. but I am watching for it.. I am NOT paying £45 for it..

I was just looking at my Christmas stash and I am really pleased that the greater has been paid for on ordering rather than having credit accounts.. good job really as I've beds to buy and my fridge freezer is dying a slow death... £449 for a similar sized/spec one.. so I'm selling a slice of liver if you know anyone who wants some :p .. nearly £300 in my paypal so I'm getting there!

  • willow_loulou so sorry to hear you are having a tough time. Getting the crochet out is a good idea, you need to be doing things you enjoy at these times. I do hope the situation improves for you soon. x

freespirit wow what an honour to be at the birth of your grandbean! What a special and emotional time it will be for you. Thanks for the table wear recommendation, i'll take a look as I want to make another Studio order. Congrats on finishing so much! You are very organised. :)

Thanks again for your supportive messages, I've been doing quite well this week. We're off to my parents house today as it's their ruby wedding anniversary, they live about 2.5 hours away so this will be our first long journey with Wiggle. Fingers crossed it will all go smoothly! On the Christmas front I managed to get a couple of stocking fillers for DH; his favourite mint shower gel (boring I know but he doesn't really do 'stuff' so have to buy very practical things) and a bottle of coke with his name on it - finally found one after searching through many cold fridges in the supermarkets! He went to play golf yesterday so in a week or so i'm having some time to myself to go shopping - can't wait to look around £land and the 99p shop, it's been a while! :j I popped to my local garden centre last week and they had lots of boxes in the middle of the floor that was full of Christmas stuff so will have to pop back soon to see what goodies they have! :)

Thanks, I did go to the make up part as tween spent about an hour deciding she needed a new lip balm, one that smelled of gummy bears! I'd already vetoed a hand warmer, a new skirt and a hat, but my resolve must have been weak by then. Maybe I didn't look closely enough at any pillars hanging stock.

If any of you have kids you buy stocking fillers for, there's a free lego toy in todays Mail on Sunday paper. I don't know all the details but looks like you collect today and then you can collect more during the week if you buy the paper.

  • Well I finally got into the Range yesterday and they were about halfway through putting out their Christmas stocks. All the tree decorations were out and most of their lights but they didn't have their trees up yet and it wasn't signposted from the bottom floor so you wouldn't know it was there yet.

Seems to be a trend for oversized tree baubles this year - some of the ones they had out were massive :o They did have out some of their themed tableware (bowls, plates etc) and some of the food things that they do. Also lots of people muttering about Christmas stuff being out in September haha.

Also popped into the Lidl next door and they have some Christmas food in - pannettone, pandoro, mulled wine, lebkuchen and I also noticed their 3 bird roasts in the freezer. Tesco had some of their Christmas freezer food in and there were price tickets for the rest - looks like they are doing a 4 bird roast this year. We're up to one side of an aisle of Christmas food now in my local big one but still not everything out so have to keep the eyes peeled :)

    Hi everyone,

Been reading this thread for a few weeks and thought it was time to join.

Christmas is always my favourite time of year anyway, but this is going to be our first Christmas in our own house after years of saving up so I am more excited than ever. I can't wait to turn the house into a grotto and have already started buying a few decorations thanks to The Range.

We're also doing Christmas lunch here. I used to be in charge of it at my parents anyway so not too worried about that.

I normally buy Christmas presents throughout the year, but with all our money going on the house I haven't been able to do that this year. Making a list of all the people I have to buy for frightened my a little bit but I've made a start so I am sure it will be fine.

    94 sleeps :j
