hope everyone is well - the festive planning seems to be hotting up in here.
love the frozen stuff, very tempted to get a lunchbox or 2 for DD2s partners children.
picked dad and step mum a garden teapot/robins nesting box at the weekend, they both love their garden and the birds so i think that will go down well, also got the an oil and vinegar carousel for their wedding anni - it falls between christmas and new year so like to include that in the christmas planning so it doesnt get overlooked.
also sorted christmas stash out yesterday the cupboard is filling up nicely

Fluffysox the app I use is 6thon the google play list when you search for Christmas list uk

FreeSpirit where did you say you got the baskets from? I so need those for my kitchen mine have got splayed handles (I keep everything in baskets Im weird lol)

Thanks free and Kitty for the support, I am not quite so wobbly this week. Things are not fixed but we are working on it. I have managed to do a fair bit of crochet but seem to have forgotten how to make flowers and cannot read patterns properly. 4 attempts and each time it could have been anything but a flower LOL! But I have managed to get some sleep which is a good thing.

My Christmas hunt this week is for non chocolate advent calenders, Its probably to early still though as I have only seen chocolate ones in £land. I was considering a lego one again but my 2 are just too old now and it seems to be the same version as the last few years anyway.
Im going away next month so need to not spend to much of my non bills budget. So far I only have £20 for 4 days away! Eeek! I do have a bog of go ahead bars to take though as they reduced in the co op.

Oh and a stupid request probably, can anyone recommend a hole punch make please? I have had 3 and they have all gone blunt really quickly. I use them for work (most is work from home) so would like my own that is half decent.

sorry in advance as don't think I've quite got the hang of posting (embarrassed newbie emoticon!)
But I got my non choc advent calendars online from my local Phoenix Trading seller. they have some lovely ones this year and v MSE as they can be reused

I chose santas house, it's lovely!
(Not sure if I can share link? )
  • Morning all. I'm loving all your pictures and ideas. Those marshmallows look like a great treat for dd2 to take into school for her bday next month instead of the usual sweets.

Were finally off to our new-to-us caravan this weekend, so we did a big shop for cleaning products etc yesterday.

Also managed to pick up the 2015 doctor who & moshi annuals from HB for £2.99 each. Got a few more bits for my pots of gold, and some toe socks for dd1 stocking from £land.

HB had a full aisle of Xmas stuff out, I was amazed to see how many of us were oooing and arrring! I'm obviously not the only elf in my area! I was very good and only picked up a couple of Santa hats for the dogs.

Tempted to treat the girls to posh advent calanders this year, I'm thinking a primani jewellery one for dd1 and Lego friends for dd2.
Will see how my budget looks at the end of the month.
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Ruth-honey the play was Peter James' A Perfect Murder. Absolutely fantastic,I highly recommend it.A black comedy thriller.

I am still dreaming of the house I viewed yesterday. Overnight I have built a wrap around extension and designed a beautiful garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By hook or by crook I must have this house.

When we move there I will change it's name to Christmas cottage.

    Deluded,Moi? :rotfl:

Closest it comes to me is Wimbledon. Will keep my eye on ticket deals for it.

House sounds lovely. I hope you get it. :)

I've heard that poundland had edible glitter in, so that may work for the marshmallow things. Might be with the Jane Asher baking stuff.

    :rotfl: same here!!!

I might have a go at making some for my Christmas gift evening. Harib* usually sell large marshmellows and they have them for sale at £1 per bag at a local corner shop near to me. fieryangel i have also found them in my local 99p style shops.
Mmmm bet they would be tasty with white choc too...suddenly I feel a little peckish :p:o

I have part of a list ready for shopping tomorrow, quite excited. Mum has said if I drive she will buy lunch so I'm happy with that!
